Having worked with and known personally several government officers, they are frankly afraid of being sued if they don't follow the law, no matter how petty it seems to foreigners. The law states that MPs are not allowed to hold shares in a media company. It doesn't differentiate between 2 shares or 42,000 shares. * Thanathorn ignored this. Finally, he disbursed them this year. As if somehow he just realized the sh*t he was in. If the constitutional court finds him innocent of holding media shares, the court could be in trouble.
