British Groom Denied Thailand Flight Over Damaged Passport
It's not, but if you don't have a state issued Real ID compliant drivers license or ID card, then a passport is one of three alternate forms of ID required to pass through TSA checkpoints

Pumpkin vs Ingco battery tools
I bought an Ingco cordless drill 2 years ago from DoHome and I find no faults with it. I also have quite a few of their hand tools from Mr DIY.

WISE large transfers, any recent problems?
I have been using Wise for about 7 years. I have always made my transfers after 10 pm as my US bank's time zone is 12 hours behind. I had always received my transfers within seconds or 2 days. Since Wise started using Plaid to link bank accounts to their platform, it now takes 5-7 days to arrive at Bangkok Bank. My bank isn't listed on the Plaid platform, so it can't be linked to Wise . My transfers now take at least 3 days for Wise to receive my money, even though my bank account shows the withdrawal was processed within the next 24 hours. After Wise receives the money, it then takes at least 2-4 more days for it to arrive at Bangkk Bank. I have called Wise support numerous times, inquiring why it now takes longer, but they have no explanation.

Best Shop to buy Fridge, Laundry Machine, Microwave etc in UdonThani or Nongkhai.
I shop around and compare prices first. Over the last 10 years, I have bought an AC, fridge and TV from Big C. A second fridge, microwave and TV from Lotus and a freezer from Macro. I've also bought numerous other small household appliances from the aforementioned, plus Thai Watsudu and other shops. I guess I'm lucky to have never had a warranty service claim.

Win Big in Thailand: Foreigners Welcome to Try Their Luck in the Lottery
I've won $ 2,000 three times in the last 12 months. KrungThai paid out all three without hesitation. They deduct the 30 baht tax. They only pay out for the current draw period. If you win, you have to redeem the ticket before the next drawing.

what to replace the septic tank cover with
You can cement a concrete ring on top of the existing concrete and use a round concrete cover (as in the above picture ) but without the holes. This is how I repaired ours.

Thailand Tightens Airport Rules on Liquids and Gels to Boost Safety
This is not quite true. Up until 6-8 months ago you were allowed up to 300 ml per container on Thai AirAsia domestic flights.

Coolant all over the car engine bay.
That's not fresh coolant. Those are the stains of evaporated coolant, which are probably months, if not years, old. Apparently, you have never seen an engine bay after a hose ruptures or the engine overheats and boils the coolant out. The underhood will be wet for weeks if the coolant is not diluted and washed off.

Ferret/Marten or Mink
I live in a rural area NE of Mueang Surin and have seen what you describe crossing the road 50 meters from my house. It's dark brown/black with short legs and ears with a tail about half its body length. Maybe a weasel.

WISE transfers taking a minimum of 2 days now?!
Since Wise started using Plaid, which my bank doesn't use, my transfers have taken 5-7 days over the past 9 months. They claim the delay is because it takes longer for them to receive the money from my bank. I call it bulls**t. My last transfer was set up on Jan. 17 at 11:52 pm. The amount was deducted from my US account the same day, yet Wise claims they didn't receive it until Wed. Jan 22. The next day, I received the transfer.

Strange and annoying things here in land of smiles
In my 58 years of driving and making new car purchases in the US, I only test-drove 1 new car before purchase (2004 Dodge SRT-4), it and six other new vehicles were ordered and factory-built to my specifications. The car I bought in Thailand was a demo with 108 km and I test-drove it home.

Cheeky checkout chick
I've shopped at Makro going on 10 years and have never had a membership card. First time was with the wife's sister and husband who operated a shop store and they were members. We paid separately and their purchases as members were not charged VAT. The items we bought had the VAT added. Sam's Club in the US is a retail and wholesale operation. Consumers pay the tax on purchases, but resellers collect the tax at the point of sale.

passport required for domestic flights? I have a Thai DL
I haven't used my passport for domestic flights or hotel check-in since I got my Thai ID card and DL almost 5 years ago. I have flown roundtrip from Buriram to DMK many times since the airport opened, the last being on 9/5-9/8.

My name is Colin Neville from Dorset, I am not ‘Bob’
If you are 68 years old, you were born in 1956. I can see why you would forget, being 4 or 5 years old. I think you are bob or boob.

Public health minister rejects 30-baht scheme co-payment review
If treatment is supposed to be free now, then some hospitals are either unaware or are ignoring the change. My wife just finished a 4-shot course of rabies vaccine and paid 30 baht for each visit.

Buying a new Windows key - my experience.
For 2 reasons 1. I wanted more storage and I wanted a faster read/write speed. The pre-installed T-Force 512 GB Z44A5 has a read/write speed of 5,000/4,500 mb/s and the Corsair MB600 Elite is 7,000/6,500 mb/s 2. The MB's no.1 slot is 4.0 the 2nd slot is 3.0

Buying a new Windows key - my experience.
Last month, I bought a gaming computer set from my local Advice Store here in Surin. During the purchase, I opted to have them move the 512 GB M.2 from the 1st slot to the 2nd slot and install a new Corsair 1 TB M.2 with heatsink in the 1st slot. After this was done they would installed Windows 10 on the main SSD. When I set-up the system at home, I deleted a few applications I didn't want and updated Windows 10 to 11. The update was successful with one minor issue. In the lower right corner there was a notification that a Windows key was not found. Checking the security center it stated "some features of Windows were not available without a product key". After 2 days of looking at the notification in the corner of the screen, I decided to research for a solution. The first thing I did was Google "cheap windows 11 keys". At the top of the search page was the webpage AllKeysShop. com. I went to that site and it had a list of 10 websites to choose from with star ratins and prices. I chose Wincdkeys and clicking on the link took me to their webpage. I selected Windows 11 Pro retail version and added to cart, then applied the 75% discount from the AllKeysShop site. I checked out with my Bangkok Bank debit card. Recieve a SMS from BB for 49.88 baht. I received an email from Wincdkeys within seconds and followed the instructions to redeem the code. After entering the MS product key as directed it was accepted immediately. After reboot the message in the corner was gone. Success! I hope my experience will be of help to others looking for legitimate Windows product keys.
