Since Wise started using Plaid, which my bank doesn't use, my transfers have taken 5-7 days over the past 9 months. They claim the delay is because it takes longer for them to receive the money from my bank. I call it bulls**t. My last transfer was set up on Jan. 17 at 11:52 pm. The amount was deducted from my US account the same day, yet Wise claims they didn't receive it until Wed. Jan 22. The next day, I received the transfer.

I have had my blood tested at Surin Government Hospital every 3 months for the last 2 years and have never needed a doctor's order. I get a complete profile including A1C, Lipid, Kidney function and PSA for around 1500 baht.

Strange and annoying things here in land of smiles

In my 58 years of driving and making new car purchases in the US, I only test-drove 1 new car before purchase (2004 Dodge SRT-4), it and six other new vehicles were ordered and factory-built to my specifications. The car I bought in Thailand was a demo with 108 km and I test-drove it home. -
I've shopped at Makro going on 10 years and have never had a membership card. First time was with the wife's sister and husband who operated a shop store and they were members. We paid separately and their purchases as members were not charged VAT. The items we bought had the VAT added. Sam's Club in the US is a retail and wholesale operation. Consumers pay the tax on purchases, but resellers collect the tax at the point of sale.

If you are 68 years old, you were born in 1956. I can see why you would forget, being 4 or 5 years old. I think you are bob or boob. -
Public health minister rejects 30-baht scheme co-payment review

If treatment is supposed to be free now, then some hospitals are either unaware or are ignoring the change. My wife just finished a 4-shot course of rabies vaccine and paid 30 baht for each visit. -

Buying a new Windows key - my experience.
tweedledee2 replied to tweedledee2's topic in IT and Computers
For 2 reasons 1. I wanted more storage and I wanted a faster read/write speed. The pre-installed T-Force 512 GB Z44A5 has a read/write speed of 5,000/4,500 mb/s and the Corsair MB600 Elite is 7,000/6,500 mb/s 2. The MB's no.1 slot is 4.0 the 2nd slot is 3.0 -
Last month, I bought a gaming computer set from my local Advice Store here in Surin. During the purchase, I opted to have them move the 512 GB M.2 from the 1st slot to the 2nd slot and install a new Corsair 1 TB M.2 with heatsink in the 1st slot. After this was done they would installed Windows 10 on the main SSD. When I set-up the system at home, I deleted a few applications I didn't want and updated Windows 10 to 11. The update was successful with one minor issue. In the lower right corner there was a notification that a Windows key was not found. Checking the security center it stated "some features of Windows were not available without a product key". After 2 days of looking at the notification in the corner of the screen, I decided to research for a solution. The first thing I did was Google "cheap windows 11 keys". At the top of the search page was the webpage AllKeysShop. com. I went to that site and it had a list of 10 websites to choose from with star ratins and prices. I chose Wincdkeys and clicking on the link took me to their webpage. I selected Windows 11 Pro retail version and added to cart, then applied the 75% discount from the AllKeysShop site. I checked out with my Bangkok Bank debit card. Recieve a SMS from BB for 49.88 baht. I received an email from Wincdkeys within seconds and followed the instructions to redeem the code. After entering the MS product key as directed it was accepted immediately. After reboot the message in the corner was gone. Success! I hope my experience will be of help to others looking for legitimate Windows product keys.

There have only been about 30 reported survivors worldwide with a death rate of nearly 60,00 every year.

Three weeks ago, a neighbor's dog bit my wife on her lower leg. This happened while I was shopping in Surin. When I returned home, she explained what happened and said the dog hadn't had a rabies shot in over 2 years. She said was going to the government hospital to have it treated. She took her mother with her to the hospital and after waiting 2 hours, staff told her to go home and come back the next morning because the ER was full. The next day the dog owner took her and her mother to a rural hospital about 15 minutes away and got her first shot. She was back home within an hour. I drove her to get her 2nd and 3rd shots a week apart and she will have the final shot on Aug. 19th. Four shots 30 baht each. She never complained of any pain with the first 2 shots but did with the 3rd one. When she showed me the injection site it was too high up on the arm near the humorous head and should have been at least 2 inches lower into the muscle.

Malaysian Polygamists Getting Married in Thailand
tweedledee2 replied to snoop1130's topic in Southern Thailand News
No, you lack reading comprehension. We were married in a village ceremony and the marriage was registered months later at the Amphur's office. We had no marriage ceremony at the Amphur, we only registered the marriage and received the marriage certificate. My post was directed to Mason45's post in which he wrote (quoted with grammatical errors) "A woman having a Buddhist marriage can't change her name to her husbands family name. If the marriage take place in an amphur office such as mine did then the woman can change her name". -
Malaysian Polygamists Getting Married in Thailand
tweedledee2 replied to snoop1130's topic in Southern Thailand News
You don't have to get married in the Ampures office to get a new ID card with the name change. My wife and I had a marriage ceremony at her parent's home in Feb. 2014, (there were no monks involved) then in November, we went to the Amphurs office in Surin and registered the marriage. I sat in a chair and waited, while my wife took care of the process. When everything was completed, I gave my wife the 20 baht registration fee, the staff gave her the marriage certificate and then we went next door and she got her new ID card. -
Filing a joint tax return in America with Thai wife
tweedledee2 replied to JGA's topic in Marriage and Divorce
I believe you can apply for a TIN anytime after marriage without filing taxes. If the IRS hasn't changed the application process they require "certified" copies and translations of Thai identification card, birth certificate and marriage registration. In my experience, it took 8 weeks after submission to receive the TIN.
