I apply for a 12 month statement a BBL for my extension, 200 baht collection in 7 days. I then get a mini statement on the day of application, done in branch while I wait to cover the 3 weeks or so between the end of the 12 month statement and day of application, along with updated book and letter from BBL confirming it's my account. Been doing the same for more than 15 years.

Another example of the Muppets in Thailand shooting themselves in the foot because of their fragile ego's. After years of corruption and incompetent management this is clearly a PR disaster. Their service stinks and I haven't flown on their over priced tickets for more than 15 years.

In my experience the police are not involved in anything to do with a deceased private business unless foul play is suspected. In the cases I know of the widow had to present the death certificate to the bank to obtain access to her late husbands accounts. If a UK citizen the death certificate is only issued after a autopsy is performed as required by the UK embassy and the body released to the family for funeral rites.

I know a young girl in her twenties who is addicted to vaping and she suffers from horrible bouts of coughing and has damaged lungs as a result. Not to mention heart palpitations.

As per usual in Thailand there is no SOP so you should check with your local DLT office in advance as to their requirements. Just like each IO has it's own requirements for extensions etc
