The road works on Rama 2 have been a complete disgrace for years. Measures should have been taken long ago but all that happens is they kick the can down the road with extension after deadline extension. RiP to the victims and I hope those injured recover. Let's see if any of the incompetent Muppets in charge are bought to account.

Is Accident Insurance a Requirement in Thailand
Andycoops replied to CharlieH's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
If you don't and have a accident, I hope you have very deep pockets to find your hospital treatment. I for one won't be contributing to your crowd funding because of your negligence. -
The problem with your scheme is that about every 2 years, at random, a form is sent to you to return to DWP. It must be signed by you and also witnessed with the witnesses official stamp. While you are in Thailand and have vacated your new official address in the Philippines, the proof of life form will go unanswered and your pension will be stopped.

Rachel Reeves Under Fire: Career Claims Spark Controversy

I can quite believe the frequent absences were due to suffering from hangovers after a night on the piss. Another lying politician, as the vast majority are... The stuff and scandal coming out of the woodwork now is getting better than the corrupt Tories, polls at a all time low, inflation and economy trashed... -

DBD to Investigate 27,000 Thai Nominee Businesses in 2025

Idiots again. Broadcast it all over the nation so they have plenty of time to flee, no way to run any investigation, priming the criminals with knowledge of the actions about to be taken. Keystone cops all over again... -

And in the meantime the illegal usupers of democracy, the little fat men in uniform get off scot free. Amazing Thailand. The most guilty reap their rewards for plunging the country into one of the worst for the erosion of freedom of speech, assembly and political chaos, unbelievable. -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
Andycoops replied to offset's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
There are red flags for me. 1 is that my email address is in capital letters in the one I received but of course email addresses are in lowercase. 2 it mentions people residing outside of Thailand. As we know any forthcoming taxation is for foreigners residing IN Thailand for more than 180 days. This may mean any scammers who aren't fully conversant with what the proposals are, may have let them down. Also contact the Ministry of Finance and ask them have Kasikorn been asked to get this information. -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
Andycoops replied to offset's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I have sent a email to Kasikorn bank to ask them if they have sent these forms out. I am a UK citizen and have resided here for 16 years. I will also be calling them on Monday. I have never seen any mention of FATCA CRS in any comments about the proposed taxation of foreigners living here for more than 180 days. -
It's rife throughout the whole country not just in Isaan and is so cheap. The country is awash with it like it is with the drinking of Lao Khao, a quick way to start a argument which leads to severe consequences. Nothing is done apart from the usual photo op of a drugs bust here and there. We all know why because the money is paid to those to turn a blind eye.

Thai Police Hunt 'Foreign Gang' Who Defied Law in Viral Video
Andycoops replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
More jaw rattling, meanwhile the real Thai criminals continue their activities unabated. If his force wasn't so corrupt he might have a leg to stand on, as it is it is rotten to the core. The same thing will be repeated by him very soon as is always the case. Only the keystone cops would broadcast that they are hunting them down, just like the fiasco with the Tak Bai murderers, by saying if you don't come in by this date we will arrest you, so of course they all fled the country, 555 -

Why do so many Thai prostitutes marry their customers?
Andycoops replied to MalcolmB's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It's transactional, they provide certain services for a nice house, lifestyle allowance etc in 99% of cases. Can't understand why anyone thinks anything different, just the way it is. It's very, very rarely about love but rather money. -

BREAKING NEWS British lawyer latest to fall in Laos alcohol poisoning tragedy
Andycoops replied to webfact's topic in World News
Drinker beware, if it's free, is too good to be true. Here in Thailand the local hooch Lao Khao is often associated with unsavoury incidents of murder, rape and all sorts of crimes, even more so when consumed with meth. It's so cheap but hardly ever gets a price hike like other alcoholic beverages, mainly because it's consumed in large quantities in rural areas like Isaan, that have the largest voting population by region. So politics rules over citizens health... TiT. RiP to the innocent victims of someone's evil profiteering.
