    Us Brits get a similar experience with VFS as well. I now use an agent to deal with it all for a few thousand extra baht.

    I've used one plugged into the cigarette lighter for several years never had a problem with it. Got it on Lazada for about 900 baht. Sticks to the inside of the windscreen using a suction cup.

    Complete Thai nonsense yet again. I get white plate delivery drivers arriving at my house all the time, as some of the delivery companies sub out the work to locals for online orders from Lazada etc. No consistency from the Muppets in charge, just arbitrary what shall we do today mumbo jumbo.

    Most of the laws in Thailand are outdated. Just look at the ganja fiasco. Law comes in and then there's a rush to amend and ban this and ban that. Unfortunately the inertia of government here means these outdated laws, immigration being a prime example, are just left as they are.

    Yet another blow to democracy, not that these Muppets understand what one is. Please come and visit our country as it's still in a state of emergency because the incumbents are scared of the opposition.

    The consulate in Savannakhet is open and there are new reports on this forum of people obtaining Non O visas.

    The hub of justice does it again, actual murder 8 years, attempted murder 34 years. The judiciary are in very sad state here.

    Air conditioning on overnight 22-23 degrees on the economy setting. In the cold months of December, January I use a fan on speed 1.

    I have never been asked for a copy of my wife's passport, only ID card and her house book. Good report, nice to know it's all back up and running again.

    The number of people using temperature check devices is virtually nil. In my local BigC hardly anyone uses the device upon entering. In smaller shops, nobody uses them anymore.

    In the UK it's hard to get an appointment and if you do it will be in several days time if not weeks away, so my family inform me. Here that's why health insurance is vital.
