  1. It is a well-known fact that Hamas neither cares about other Muslims in Gaza, nor beyond, but just their terrorist agenda. Gaza receives billions in humanitarian aid from around the world, but the corrupt Hamas clique just channels off most of it for their own purposes, e.g. building nice houses for themselves, while all around everything else in Gaza is falling apart. I wouldn't even be surprised if they had used international humanitarian aid to purchase the weapons to attack Israel...
  2. Apparently Israel needs a lot of foreign labourers, but they stopped hiring Palestinians as they consider them 'untrustworthy', so instead they now hire large numbers of Asians (Filipinos, Thais, Chinese, Nepalis), who work in agriculture, construction, and healthcare. Lots of kibbutzim and construction near the border to Gaza. According to a CNN report two days ago, also 10 Nepalis and two Filipinos were killed, others were missing, but such details were probably not newsworthy to Thai media...
  3. What is the purpose of such an announcement; good relations with Hamas?
  4. I remember discussion in the media during the early stages of the pandemic to include expats, but they must have decided not to include those "dirty falang". Instead they bet on Chinese horses in the sky...
  5. What "benefits? Any discounts, local pricing for sights/national parks, etc.? - Oh, I forgot, taxation of international money transfers into Thailand... Is that supposed to be a "benefit"?
  6. After the pandemic I travelled for almost six months through Australia and New Zealand (about 3 months each). I met many tourists who travelled there for even longer. That tourists should travel to another country for only 2 weeks is a TAT idea. Or why would countries in SEA Asia offer 45- or 90-day visa-free entries? Personally, if I had the choice between only 2 weeks in Thailand, or two weeks in Spain, or Greece, I wouldn't bother travelling all the way to Thailand.
  7. European and American tourists want to stay too long. Thailand likes tourists who come for one week, then leave again quickly...
  8. Yes, you're right.
  9. Staying in Thailand is less and less fun. Fortunately, I decided to return to the West in a few years. Thailand's shenanigans only encourage me to visit, or re-visit other countries in the region in the meantime. Thank you, Thailand.
  10. How many days did you get; 45?
  11. Yes, it is so simple. That's why there are hundreds of pages and thousands of posts now discussing this topic on this very forum...
  12. This was about cash, not an official document which to get might be both, time-consuming and/or requiring being fluent in Thai as for taxation. Will they hand out tax forms at all border posts, and assign an employee to help you fill it out for the next 30-60 minutes?
  13. A flu seems to be going around. Been hanging in my throat for the past three weeks or so. Also the infrequent runny nose.
  14. LOL. Even if I only used my Non-Immigrant visa for infrequent trips, staying for a total of, say, 120 days a year, I have to get a tax clearance form now? What will they do, if not; stop me from leaving, or lock me up?? - And if they want to charge me at the border, I will only be happier to spend my money across the border...
  15. I miss doing it in strange places...
  16. Aw, okay. Then no. But are you sure this is the actual visa? - "A multiple entries visa allows you enter / exit Vietnam unlimited times as long as your visa still valid. Your multiple entries visa must be picked at the airport when you arrive. After getting your multiple entries visa at the airport, you can exit & re-entering Vietnam at any port s you want." Perhaps this one just gives you the time-window to arrive in Vietnam for your first entry, and the actual visa is processed at the airport(?) Also, shouldn't a visa bear your name?
  17. Pre-Covid, nationals of a number of countries could travel to Vietnam for 14 days, with 30 days in between. Seems there are now 45-day visa exempt entries possible, e.g. for Western European countries. (I think, I read somewhere that the 30 days in between are not longer required.) If so, this could be an alternative: 45d + 45d (+14d eVisa) = 104d. Of course, this would require two extra in-outs.
  18. The country that is obsessed with everyone (e.g. police, students) having the same haircut, but unable to standardise visa requirements at their provincial Immigration offices...
  19. Gaza? Wait, expensive property insurance might outweigh the benefits...
  20. News on Youtube. Will add a link here if I see an article.
  21. I heard they already killed some of them.
  22. Won't ever happen in Thailand. Much easier to listen to the rice growing...
