Thailand for dual passport holders
DrJack54 replied to Victor21's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your plan will work. Someone can advise on pp procedure. Thinking that you exit Thailand on Russian pp (completes entry/exit to Thailand. Then enter the country you fly to on USA pp. Exit that country on USA pp and of course enter Thailand on USA pp. You would be given a 30 day stamp that can be extended by 30 days -

I never understand the obsession some folk have with Thailand. Spend few days in Saigon and make mini holiday out of it. -

Re-ENTRY permit at BKK Airport
DrJack54 replied to zenplay's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
What is point of your post. Some immigration offices are simple. CW is not. Address the OP ... Airport is very good alternative for reentry permit. . -
I was not referring to visa and subsequent extension (eg non O retirement and 12 month extension) Indeed most agents send them "up country" My post was concerning opening Thai bank account in Bangkok and obtaining a TDL in Bangkok. As I pointed out bank account for OP in Bangkok will require an agent given that the OP has a tourist visa. You can attend the bank with agent (in Bangkok) Most agents use Bangkok Bank which is a good option as that bank has Branch in CW and is one of 3 banks that provide larger transfers using WISE.

Thinking bit more than 4k currently in Bangkok for agent to open bank account. CW is unique in that to obtain certificate of residence they require a TM47. The OP has tourist visa so that is not possible. An agent is the solution. Bit unrelated but even more difficult is TDL as in Bangkok that also requires a COR. Agents such as Fatboys, BSR, etc cannot obtain a COR.

Most offices will accept explanation of that you are still looking for apartment for permanent living. Jomitien are planning games (as usual) and reports of requiring 2 months of seasoning when in fact that's not required. Perhaps for you that is not an issue as you mention funds already in Thai bank. Can you show the 800k came from abroad. Most immigration offices require 15+ days remaining on your permission of stay to apply for non O. Your plan 6 months+ in Thailand and return each year will work however you will need to be in Thailand in window to apply for extension. Traveling about in Thailand not an issue for 90 day reporting as you can do that via mail or online from anywhere. You will need to purchase a reentry permit. That can be done at immigration or at airport at time of departure.

Another ridiculous thread regarding a fairytale. Surely these threads belong in "banking finance" forum where pretend tax experts can knock themselves out

There should not be. Some reports of land borders asking to see outbound flight. "Onward ticket.com" is one solution. If for some unknown reason io insists on 30 day stamp that would be disappointing however can be extended by 30 days also you still have visa exempt entries available. When do you plan to return home.
