  1. Obtaining a new non O is not required and won't facilitate your plan to change to extension based on retirement. If you travel to UK make sure you get a reentry permit to protect your permission of stay. To change to income method you need to show immigration 12 month of international transfers. You should have been doing that from when you obtained current extension (obtained in Feb 2024) My guess is you have not done that UK does not provide income letter. Thinking you missed the boat.
  2. If this is to obtain a non O just do a border bounce obtain visa exempt entry and obtain non O at local immigration office. Or perhaps financial requirements is an issue
  3. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/ Edit: incorrect link. Link posted is appointment for Thai immigration I posted appointment for Vientiane in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1333816-online-appointment-vientiane/ Appointment link for Vientiane https://thaivisavientiane.com/ Here is appointment link for Savannakhet http://www.thaivisasvk.com/
  4. Yes that will work. Keep in mind that you don't need to obtain the non O in Laos. You can (from visa exempt or tourist visa entry) obtain non O at your local immigration office. All that is required is 800k in Thai bank account in your name only on day of application. That gives you a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days apply for 12 month extension using your 12 monthly transfers. Cost: 2000b for non O + 1900b for the 12 month extension.
  5. And what does a trip to Savannakhet + accommodation+++ cost. Also the inconvenience. Consider eg someone living in Bangkok. Multi entry non O previous appeal for some was no need to have funds in bank for 2 months.
  6. Both Savannakhet and Vientiane require appointment. Also you required money in bank seasoned for multi. No advantage in just obtaining non O in Thailand and subsequent 12 month extension.
  7. 6 page thread re WISE short removal of "long term stay" which is now back on WISE list of options. Thread off topic closed
  8. Do not understand one word. First up a non O-A is obtained in passport country or country where you have permanent residence status. Also a non O-A requires 12 month of insurance. Read the replies posted earlier and read all the links to threads.
  9. Your posts are seriously incorrect. You are suggesting all form of tourist visas and even eg extensions from non O etc are obsolete. Living in Thailand ongoing with continuous visa exempt entries will not work. Ridiculous posts from you
  10. Seriously. Zillion posts in so many threads of online not working for unknown reasons. And no it's not down to not providing correct information. As we know using magnifying glass after pp # and name it's auto fill. You do not need 5 lines. Yet MANY receive rejection.
  11. Do not go into overstay. You have easy option to obtain 30 day extension to the current permission of stay. 1900baht.. Which immigration office are you located.
  12. Your post is incorrect and reckless. BTW you used the word "indefinite" you meant unlimited as per that word was used when the change was made. Better statement would have been along the lines ...."the limit of 2 visa exempt entries via land borders has been removed. There is no stated limit" That is in line with VE entry via air. Is there refusal via air for ongoing back to back ve yes. Will same thing apply to entries via land yes.
  13. You did not mention if he has Thai bank account. Regardless best option would be obtain the non O retirement while he is UK That is done online eVisa OR He can visa exempt and obtain non O at his immigration office and subsequent 12 month extension This attached thread outlines the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1282251-visa-exempt-to-non-o-retirement-dates/
  14. Off topic posts re legality or otherwise of visa agents will be removed. Off topic
  15. OP, I recently visited Maneerat Soi 13/2. Many positive reviews of visa agents in Pattaya
  16. As far as I'm aware CW was the only office that required a TM47. Hopefully the TM30 will be sufficient in future.
  17. The joint I discussed it with included everything from travel to accommodation even meals etc. Think min 3 nights. Van from Bangkok. Personally would not be interested in Van Best chat with agents directly. Initially I used messenger, Line etc. Obviously you can also use phone
  18. Yes no problem. I at one point had 400k in an FD account and 400k in a savings account. Both accounts same bank. Each extension never an issue for bank letter etc. In fact bank letter listed both accounts.. My thinking at the time was instant access to some cash if emergency arose.
  19. Correct apart for (c).....topped back up at least 2 months prior to applying not 3
  20. Non O visa 2000b 12 month extension 1900b
  21. OP, good advice above especially if he does not have a Thai bank account in his name only. Passport country? He may be able to obtain the non O retirement using eVisa.
