  1. At Jomitien they were playing a game for application for non O from visa exempt stamp requiring funds in the bank for 2 months. In any event seems your funds have been in bank for some time so not an issue Non O based on retirement or marriage
  2. What is your current status. Entered on tourist visa or visa exempt
  3. Probably my poor wording. Even if married it takes time for spouse to have access to the 800k. Even moreso if not married Would require WILL etc. I already transfer 120k per month so if immigration accepts my the 12 months of transfers then I no longer require the 800k in bank. And no money locked up. Regarding agents...some agents send the passport "up country" for stamps. The one I chatted with does not. I can also get the process done at CW it's just more expensive.
  4. I had meeting with Pattaya agent and was surprised that extension "permission of stay stamp" issued at Jomitien. My reason for wanting to used income method is because long term partner (not married) has no issue with 800k locked up in Thai bank account.
  5. Those transfers will be fine even if not coded as international transfers. The bank can provide credit advice. Chat with your bank.
  6. Understandable. However having option of Jomitien then agent option very simplified. BTW: Stamps issued Jomitien immigration. I am also in process of gathering up 12 month of transfers and also maintaining the funds in bank method. I also do not receive a pension or social security etc. I set up an income stream from my superannuation fund. Hopefully CW immigration will accept the 12 transfers for my next extension. If not I continue with the funds in the bank.
  7. That is extensions dependant on being over 50 years. The OP has not stated age.
  8. Seems his immigration office is not happy that his funds are not coming from a pension. Income method for him maybe problematic
  9. Thanks. I hadn't seen that link before and it gives very clear instructions to show "international transfer" The other option is "credit advice" from Thai bank
  10. Read it carefully regarding mail option. Nothing to do with email.
  11. If understanding you correctly, then yes you could enter visa exempt and obtain a non O retirement placing 800k in bank then NOT applying for 12 months extension. Wash and repeat. Since you are not married to a Thai there is no other extension from the non O other than the 12 months. I can imagine immigration not being Happy. This is not a new plan has been suggested previously. If the financials is the issue consider an agent
  12. Yes From a tourist visa or visa exempt you can obtain a non O at local immigration office and in last 30 days apply for 12 months extension. As your 65k transfers are not from a pension you need to check with your immigration office their specific requirements in this regard. This thread has some advice and links to additional threads https://aseannow.com/topic/1325266-change-from-visa-exempt-to-non-o/ From a tourist visa you will use TM86 and from visa exempt entry a TM87. If visa exempt remain at 60 days not much point of a tourist visa. Also limit of 2 visa exempt via land borders has been removed.
  13. Of course not email. Read the link I posted earlier. It outlines options in detail and it's from immigration.
  14. That's incorrect. Also for application for non O retirement in Thailand the funds must be shown to have come back from abroad, there is an exception. If the funds have been in Thai bank account in your name only for "some time" then proof of international transfer can be waived. Note: for ongoing extensions the funds do not require international transfer if using money in bank method. Using income method then international transfer proof is required Late Edit: here is a cut/paste from ubonjoe...... "Immigration will normally waive the requirement for proof it came from abroad if the 800k baht has been in the bank for a long time already."
  15. Most likely not. Not sure which immigration office you deal with however CW like the mail option posted 15 days prior to due date.
  16. In person or via mail. This link outlines instructions of how to file TM47 via in person, online and mail https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/90days-report/
  17. From posted screenshot above reason ....."For Long Term Stay in Thailand" Your posts are incorrect.
  18. So tired of nonsense. My COR without TM30 or TM47 was at CW in 2022. And yes he should have a TM30.
  19. That's correct and folk should note that for the very first extension from a non O-A it must be based on retirement. After that extensions can be based on marriage and have no insurance requirement.
  20. It's not obvious. If the funds have been in Thai bank account in your name only for "some time" then you do not not need a "fresh" transfer and do not need to prove funds came from abroad
  21. I had similar issue. First 7 years I was never in Thailand for longer than 90 days due to frequent travel. Could not obtain TM47 and could not obtain TDL. Was not until covid that was able to do 90 report and obtain COR. Being Oz my embassy also does not provide embassy letter along with UK and USA. Hopefully CW has done away with this nonsense .
  22. I obtained my first COR in Bangkok with a lease only. No TM30 (in fact I have never done one) and no TM47. I stated he should provide a TM30
  23. Such an incorrect post. There is no limit on visa exempt via air. Does that mean unlimited entries visa exempt. Of course not. Same for land border Very incorrect post
  24. The OP is only interested in Vietnam in order to bypass a border bounce for second visa exempt entry. Did you even read thread. His options and replies very clear
  25. No. The agent will assist with DTV obtained in the main at Savannakhet not cheap After that no support
