  1. The main concern seems to be the booked accommodation. Some comments in this attached thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1302592-proof-of-payment-for-accommodation-for-the-whole-period-of-stay-in-thailand/ When you attend your appointment ask about need to book pick up time or not required. Vaguely recall reading that somewhere This thread has couple of posts from ubonjoe and link to list of requirements https://aseannow.com/topic/1276664-tourist-visa-for-thailand-in-kuala-lumpur/
  2. You seem concerned about previous ED visa. It will be in your history regardless of new pp. Tourist visas are easy to apply for. Does your pp country have eVisa. Having stated that you will have been out of Thailand for 3 months and visa exempt entry should be fine.
  3. Regarding the onward flight .... You do have a return flight. If any difficulty obtaining boarding pass you could ask to see supervisor and explain that you intend to obtain a 30 day extension or step away from check in and book rent a flight on site such as "onwardticket.com" $15usd.
  4. OP, there is no insurance requirements. Be aware that as your return flight is not within 30 days the airline at departure may require proof of onward flight.
  5. For the plan you outlined... You enter visa exempt or TV then apply for non O retirement. Requires 800k on day of application. Then in last 30 days of your non O permission of stay you apply for 12 month extension then maintain 800k for 3 months and then can reduce to 400k and back up to 800k two months prior to next application for extension
  6. You can obtain non O outside of Thailand and enter with that. The next step would be to apply for 12 month extension. Unless your embassy can provide "income letter" you would need to comply with money in bank account requirements.

  8. It's overnight and perhaps longer. No appointment required.
  9. Don't confuse visas. Some folks obtain a multiple entry Non O (marriage) from Savannakhet. That visa is valid for 12 months and each entry you are stamped in for 3 months. Requires exits/reentry. The other non O is a single entry visa providing 90 day stay. During that time you obtain a 12 month extension. Also you would buy a multi reentry permit. The non O single entry and subsequent extension can all be done at Thai immigration from a tourist visa or visa exempt entry.
  10. Thanks for detailed report. So you didn't provide TM30? Bank book pages were accepted without bank statements? Google map accepted without hand drawn map? No lease?
  11. In that case you can obtain "60 day extension to visit wife" 1900b. OR 30 day extension. If you are leaving 5th Feb you already have enough time. What is expiry date (admitted date) on your current stamp.
  12. OP, you could obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. During that time you could obtain non O based on marriage. That provides 90 day permission of stay. In last 30 days you could obtain 12 month extension. No need to exit Thailand. For the non O application the 400k only needs to be in your Thai bank account on day of application. How long do you wish to stay in Thailand?
  13. There is no stated limit to visa exempt entry via air. There is a stated limit of two visa exempt entries via land/sea per calendar year. OP, your frequent entries using visa exempt should not be an issue due to length of stay and time spent out of Thailand

  16. Think that's fine for the husband however the wife in order to piggyback on husband as dependent needs to enter Thailand on a non O. Happy for someone to correct this if wrong info. Some comments in attached thread from ubonjoe. https://aseannow.com/topic/1245491-dependant-spouse-with-extension-to-stay-based-on-retirement/
  17. I think you should chill in relation to any new tax rules mentioned in several threads.
  18. It's not 2 in a 12 month period. It's max 2 per calendar year. You also ask the following.... " You do hear of people being refused entry and told they're coming too often and need to get the correct visa. So what are the legal limits?".. The problem is immigration does not set a clear limit to visa exempt entries via air. The scrutiny you refer to is in the main due to very little time spent outside of Thailand. Some folk even ask about doing return flight same day. Crazy. What's important is time spent out of Thailand between visits
  19. Like that plan. Out of interest where did you spend time "elsewhere" I often suggest Vietnam as a good option.
  20. Bumping your thread as no replies. The option you outlined of visa exempt entry onto non O with multi Re-entry permit is best option imo. I would enter with SETV eVisa to ease time pressure. Doing it with required funds in the bank is best option. Some folk will suggest use of agents and that's always an option if it takes time to sell some of your assets. Income method is not an option without 12 monthly transfers. When you have a job lined up you can look at obtaining a non b.
  21. Taxation issues have been extensively covered in current threads.
  22. There would be no issue with immigration at airport when you exit. Slight chance of io noticing when you apply for TM47 90 after you return. (Unlikely) You don't do it online?
