  1. I was not aware of that. Being with Kasikorn that will be handy. Currently I'm transferring monthly 65k+ with plan to switch from money in bank to income method (October) for next extension. Being Oz need to show 12 monthly transfers. Suggest anyone doing likewise to maintain funds in bank requirement "just in case" any issue with immigration.
  2. The way round that would not have been difficult. You could have opened another bank account dedicated to immigration matters. Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn and SCB commercial bank do not have the 50k limit that you refer to. The limit for those 3 banks is 2m. Handy for things such as realestate purchases. If the codes are not FTT then you can obtain credit advice from the receiving bank to show funds were transferred from overseas
  3. I was addressing a post re need to provide some proof of real estate sale to whichever institution you opt for. I mentioned DEE Money (which many folk use)
  4. Spot on. Not long ago I paid a UK guy 3million in cash baht in buying a condo. Suggested he use DEE.. (branch in Asoke) He rang later to state he required proof of sale of realestate. Not a big deal
  5. Multi available at the airports. 1000b Single 3800b multi
  6. You also get "stamped out" at DMK. Reentry permit desk at DMK immediately behind (past) passport control
  7. You may wish to Google "loyalitylobby" article just yesterday........ damning report critical of how the auto system is working.
  8. Entering Thailand with tourist visa you would use form TM86. Entering visa exempt use TM87. There is no difference in the procedure. I Assume that you have a Thai bank account in your name only. The reason I ask is visa exempt provides 30 day stamp. Since immigration requires min 15 days remaining on your permission of stay you would need to apply for the non O very soon after entry. Opening a bank account is not a simple process. Which immigration office?
  9. TM8. You can download it and prepare it yourself. Requires photo. Or have immigration fill it in and cover the photo. 200b
  10. Just to add the reentry permit office is ZONE 2. Prior to passport control and after security check. The fee for having immigration do the paperwork and photo is 200b
  11. Doesn't sound right because it's a nonsense post .
  12. He would not receive emails after travel out of Thailand and then reentry. He would have received reminder email when out of Thailand which of course he would ignore.
  13. Definitely however seems that the OP cannot come up with the funds. The other option would be to obtain a single entry Non O based on marriage and tie up 400k for 2 months to obtain subsequent extension. Those funds only need to remain in the bank until final stamp is issued. 400k would hardly sustain someone (or family) for 12 months. Not huge money given that it can be withdraw. Wash and repeat. No need of border runs and the costs.
  14. You expect wrong. ME Non O based on marriage (visa valid for 12months) has been used by expats for years to live in Thailand albeit that it requires border runs. Perhaps not the initial intention of that visa however has not caused issues.
  15. So finally getting a full picture. It really helps if you give complete outline of what your status is in Thailand when starting a thread. So your thread should have been... "Returned to Thailand with a reentry permit. Previously used an agent to obtain a 12 month extension based on retirement. The agent covered the funds. What should I do regarding 90 day report? " Answer: talk to the agent. Ask cost of service to do 90 report for you. Very surprised he obtained the extension in Bangkok. In any event you will need an agent for next extension unless you start over and meet the financials yourself.
  16. If previous 90 day reports have used Bangkok address you can do it online. To do it at Phitsanulok you would need to do change of address TM30. Don't do that unless you plan to live there.
  17. Seems that the agent was just hand holder. Meaning you had funds in the bank. How did you enter Thailand on October 5th. Reentry permit?
  18. Which immigration office issued your stamps
  19. I always use the appointment option and are given same desk number each time. Please update when you obtain your extension. Good luck.
  20. I think you had poor treatment as I stated in the thread you mention Here is my reply in that thread... "OP, that is really disappointing. You should not require a one year lease for your first extension. The io was unreasonable especially if you explained that you are thinking of moving. You could discuss doing a non binding lease with landlord" The other guy that was knocked back I notice was same desk L35? Same io? My personal experience (using appointment at CW) was to deal with L32 In any event what is your next step? How many days left on your permission of stay? I assume the financials are in order so have you consulted with an agent as a fallback option.
  21. TM30 is now used for address reporting and change of address. Here is a snippet from ubonjoe and stated in many threads. Think this one 2019/20. "The TM30 report has become the primary means of reporting a change of your registered address that immigration has. It can be done by the owner, possessor or tenet. The TM27 or TM28 form is seldom asked for now"
  22. https://aseannow.com/topic/1149328-tm28-thai-immigration-scraps-requirement-for-foreigners-to-report-when-they-stay-away-from-home-for-24-hours/
  23. There is no 30 or 60 day extension for non O based on retirement. The only option is 12 month extension and meeting the financial requirements. For a non O based on marriage you could obtain 60 day extension to visit wife
  24. I think @couchpotato gave good advice. Perhaps you are not familiar with best ways to find threads for advice. Skip AseanNow search function. Google something like ...... "extension retirement vs marriage AseanNow" Make sure you include AseanNow at the end to take you to relevant threads I did this to demonstrate and attach screenshot of Google results. Further specific questions can also be answered this way
  25. I think you could look into this statement of yours. Many folk have posted that using income method with one transfer totalling 40k/65k per month that the tag "pension" was not required. Indeed WISE is a good option to transfer from your USA bank to your Thai bank. Depending on how the transfers are coded you can also obtain credit advice that shows funds came from abroad
