So the arrival forms are now back
DrJack54 replied to grain's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
And what if he gave the real answer. Going to UT staying Top Mansion and going for some beers in Day/Night bar area for some take home. Surprised she didn't ask for his LINE. -

The answer to the questions were already on the TM6 form. Entering visa exempt with extensive history in Thailand using visa exempt entries with extensions all back to back and very short stay out of Thailand then fair enough. The OP has annual extension with reentry permit. The io was blowing hot air. Not uncommon. -

I would also. Seems to be an expat living in Thailand given has an annual extension and reentry permit. Her questions were not required. Surprised she didn't ask if could show 20k to support his stay. The io was being a j erk -

The OP has a reentry permit and annual extension. The immigration officer was being stupid. Unnecessary questions. Power trip. Nothing more. -
Obviously I referring to his extension validity. Many folk ask about this. In the case of divorce the extension is void. If wife passes away the extension remains valid and his permission of stay remains valid. The OP seems not to be on good enough terms with the wife to have her attend immigration with him for his next extension that he could change to based on retirement. For change based on marriage to based on retirement immigration would want wife present in most immigration offices. On top of that seems he is skint.

Residency Certificate at US embassy

I have not used a pink id card for proof of address when applying for TDL in Bangkok. I used a certificate of residence. Some use "letter" from embassy. -

It's useful to others to read trip reports regarding what is required for this and that. You stated pink card was sufficient in Bangkok. Mind you asked 3 times which office and yet no reply. In any event out of this mindless chit chat. -

OP not specifically about TDL however some folk may find this site useful. Concerns CM but applies to most provinces. https://motogirlthailand.com/riding-thailand/ -

Which transport office? Was a simple question. The "norm" is what everyone else needs to supply for DTL renewal -

The reason given for suspending it at the airports was to ease process times with io. Not such an issue at border crossings -

Which transport office because what you outline is not the norm in Bangkok -

Amazing the clerk accepted that. For the majority that will not cut it Certificate of Residence or embassy letter is the norm -

Clearly not and resort to offensive "clown" is poor form. -

Yes you did however some posts are pointing out that your friend does not fit any pidgin hole. 1. Does not want to park 800k in Thai bank. 2. Income only 50k per month 3. Agent option suggested. Bottom line .....move on. Just another farang with limited money. -
