  1. Interesting that you start a thread with basic question and then state the above Some immigration offices do check and while I have never read report of rejection for not maintaining funds for under consideration period the advice you posted is poor.
  2. Flight from Bangkok to PQ would be via Saigon. Phu Quoc a dive in my books.
  3. It's boring? As I posted there is current thread and many knowledgeable folk have recommended agent details. This thread is Pattaya specific. If you live in Bangkok you can contact @ThaiVisaCentre for advice who are involved with this forum. Many other agents that are mentioned often. It's not difficult.
  4. The rule is to maintain 800k+ for 3 months after application for extension and can then reduce to 400k and back up to 800k + two months prior to next application for extension. As for change of account.... If you have the funds best option would be to wait till the 400k period and transfer 400k from existing account into new account and the remaining 400k 2 months prior to next application.
  5. Please post something sensible. Recommendations for agents are ask for in many threads. In fact current thread on that. I post agents names in many threads. It's not secret information.
  6. Couple of options. Take border run to Cambodia which involves long gig in van OR Fly Udon Thani and bounce to Nong Khai bridge. For me it would be return (cheap) flight to Saigon for a mini holiday.
  7. Struggle to come up with a reason for it. We all know that many folk now are obtaining non O retirement inside Thailand now for various reasons. Address check for that reason anyone's guess
  8. OP you mean border bounce for visa exempt entry. That currently gives 45 day stamp. Where are you located. That determines best option. Your OP is very vague
  9. No. Most folk had no idea what you were asking. So you are doing border bounce to obtain visa exempt entry 45 day stamp to enable agent to obtain non O. Answer : yes no problem.
  10. Your OP and thread heading makes ZERO sense. Describe your current situation coherently and advise will be along.
  11. You will not be checked on bus transport. Why even ask. Are you looking for reassurance. Also just enough dosh to pay overstay and exit. Bye. .
  12. BOTH. Meaning first extension and subsequent extensions. If you are referring to non O application the funds only need to be in account on day of application
  13. I use ignore function works well. From the links provided in the thread you have various agents you can contact. The mobility issue will become an increasing problem for many aging expats here. Please report back in future if you end up with agent that included door to door. Good luck.
  14. Some random errors in OP . Not in any order. Bank book pages showing previous 12 months. If no activity in some months CW now (new hurdle) want bank statements for the year. Passport basic pages. Not all stamped pages. ID page, extension stamps , last entry stamp, original non O visa or if renewed pp copy of the visa details in new pp. Since OP has changed immigration office then TM30 for change of address would be required. I notice post above that tm47 receipt not required however it certainly was for my extension last Nov. Here is my report from 2021 extension at CW. The difference to my experience in 2022 is that they wanted tm47 receipt and bank statements as some of my months have zero transactions due to using dedicated bank account.
  15. The officer got it wrong. Read the threads I posted and you will have current insurance requirements and links to various insurance companies.
  16. Insurance requirements for extensions from a non O-A were changed. The attached thread has links to options. The thread also outlines way to kill off the non O-A and move to non O retirement. This thread is also helpful. https://aseannow.com/topic/1263789-non-immigrant-oa-visa-health-insurance/
  17. Some errors here. METV multiple entry tourist visa. Not best option. STV you mean SETV single entry tourist visa. Gives 60 day stamp and can be extended by 30 days Good option. VOA visa on arrival. Not applicable. No visa. Referred to as visa exempt entry. Will give 45 day stamp (untill March 31) and can be extended by 30 days. Excellent option. Note may require purchase of onward flight within 45 days of entry.
  18. 2 months. Immigration are strict on this. You can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife to season the funds.
  19. Some folk prefer to do it at immigration. It's also bullet proof at airport. At BKK airport you obtain the reentry permit after security check and prior to immigration. Zone 2 office left hand side. They provide service to fill in TM8 and photo etc for 200baht if you want At DMK the reentry permit office is just other side of immigration. Quick easy process
  20. Makes zero sense to me. 90 day reports unrelated to extensions. Yes some immigration offices file one same time as extension. They think it's helpful. It's not.
  21. If your plan is to fly to thailand visa exempt then the airline at departure may/will require you to show onward flight within 30/45 days. This is an airline requirement. Note does not need to be return ticket. Any onward flight accepted.
