  1. We will need to keep eye on reports from CW and other places. Would be a complete backflip on the rule changes of June 2020. Sadly that would come as no surprise to many. BTW when you say that you were asked by immigration officer....I assume you are not referring to those document check chicks just at entry to all the desk areas.
  2. So it appears that you have an extension from a non O. Also you have a reentry permit and did not change address. You should not have been asked to provide a TM30 and certainly not at CW.
  3. Bummer. So that's another added requirement for stamp transfer at CW. Thanks for trip report. Hopefully the word will spread. Bunch of bleep.
  4. For annual extensions you require a Thai bank account in your name only and have 800k baht in the account for 2 months prior to extention and then maintained for 3 months after extention then not below 400k and back up to 800k for your next extension. Also you would require insurance. If your plan is to live ongoing in Thailand you are best to kill off the non O-A and obtain a non O. The financials for extension is the same but extensions from a non O does not require insurance.
  5. First of all reentry permits can be single entry or multiple entry. 1000 and 3800b respectfully. You would be best served by obtaining the "second year" I mentioned earlier. An extension from a non O-A would also require a reentry permit. In addition it has financial requirements that the non O-A visa does not. Subtle difference but important to understand....your non O-A visa cannot be extended. You can obtain an extension of your permission to stay. To avoid the financial requirements for an extension you would need to obtain a new non O-A in your own country. Extensions are obtained in Thailand.
  6. A non O-A visa has a validity of one year from issue. Every time that you exit and reenter during that period you will receive a 12 month stamp. If you exit and reenter just prior to expiry of the non O-A visa you will be stamped in for 12 months. In that 12 months it's not a visa it's a permission of stay and you would need to buy a reentry permit if you wish to exit and return. You would also need to buy insurance for that "extra year" . After that you either obtain annual extensions or return to home country and obtain a new non O-A
  7. There is a photocopy/print joint to left side of entry to immigration office. I assume they would do photos.
  8. No limit. Obviously you need to reenter prior to expiry of your non O-A. Not sure if you actually have valid non O-A or are on extensions. If you have valid non O-A you can obtain an extra 12 months of stay by exit and reenter just prior to expiry. Note that in this "second year" you would need to buy reentry permit along with insurance.
  9. I cannot recall reading one report of where an application under consideration had subsequently been rejected. There may have been a minor clarification required even that I can't recall. You are good to go . Relax
  10. On ignore. You set a record. Got any advice for the OP dealings with Korat. Doubt it.
  11. You are most likely best off with the plan you outline. If you had been on the MRT you could get the Red line from Bang Sue to Laksi.
  12. You would end up paying the 2000b. There in one immigration rule in Thailand. They say Jump. We say How High. Being aware of your own immigration games is important.
  13. Dont worry. All good. You will receive stamp around 11th. Being a Saturday just go in Monday 13. Don't worry about your Feb 14 date. That stamp will give you 90 day permit. In the last 30 days of that permit apply for your extension. The extension stamp will be issued on the day you apply. No under consideration period for the extension. You are all good.
  14. No need for rudeness. The point is OP deals with Korat. Various offices have different requirements. Your experience with Phetchabun is bit irrelevant as would be my experience at CW.
  15. Went where today ? Each immigration office can have different rules.
  16. You take a TM30 that you file yourself since you own the condo as stated below... "Need to extend next month and this will be first extension since I bought my Condo."
  17. Have a read of this thread. OP has his own condo. https://aseannow.com/topic/1247990-tm30-form-completion/
  18. Think you have asked this previously. Not sure what you are asking. Marriage has nothing to do with it. If you exited Thailand and reenter with same visa (multi entry) or have a reentry permit and return to your place of residence then you do NOT need to file a TM30. However when this is asked about, there are always folk that post "my immigration office wants me to file TM30 everytime I return to my usual place of residence". In Thailand there will always be crackpot immigration offices that do not follow the rules. Sakon Nakon has been mentioned and I think CM has also been mentioned.
  19. No. The 30 days will start from expiry of current permit and not start from date you apply.
  20. Thankyou. I'm also going from 2 to 5 year license. Will check out the link you provided. Ta!
  21. Yes and no. There have been reports where immigration have not been impressed with that practice and have made it know. It requires official to walk you back to reentry permit office. Have never read a report of not being able to obtain the permit after clearing immigration using fast tract however it's (imo) poor form .
  22. If that's a possibility as per one post above already then why bother. Print the TM7 and fill it in by hand. 2 minutes tops!
