  1. "That's not good advice" fine ignore it. BTW I suggested ONE border bounce followed by trip to Hanoi and obtain setv there. Up to you.
  2. Which immigration office. Yellow book? You haven't done a TM30 or have lease etc. Some immigration offices are asking for bank statements. Don't understand why 3 months. Are using money in the bank method? You state "for a new extension" So what has the office required in the past.
  3. You should not have any issues. Even with money in bank for several months the "came from abroad" would be waived To get rid of your non O-A you would need to exit Thailand and reenter visa exempt
  4. Indeed. I also had hard copy thinking the airline may do something weird. They did not. Nothing is checked. BTW facemasks not required on flight. Was optional.
  5. On date of divorce you would need to change reason for extension from based on marriage to based on Thai child.. Obviously you require all the supporting documents. Another option is to exit Thailand and reenter visa exempt and obtain the non O in Thailand. OR exit Thailand and obtain the non O at eg Savannakhet. Mention those two options in case the first is not possible time wise.
  6. That's all. You can obtain your reentry permit at immigration if it's convenient or at the airport upon departure.. I recently entered and had my vax records however not required at any stage. Bangkok to AU return.
  7. Obviously the more time spent in Hanoi the better.. Depends on your longer term plans regards how long you wish to stay in Thailand. As you are aware it's 2 visa exempt per calendar year via land. You could do a border bounce now while it's 45 days and "save" the setv for later. Then at some point fly to Hanoi and obtain the tourist visa. Obviously less hassle entering via air with a visa.
  8. Unless you plan to wait till your next extension to transfer stamps etc then you could wait till your next 90 day report is due and attend CW. If you try the online report 15 days prior to report due with new pp #. If it's approved then fine. If not still have time to attend in person. Think the extension desks do the stamp transfer and after that go to 90 report desk for file tm47. I would not use the old pp detail to file a 90 day report online. Yes update details with bank prior to applying for your next extension. Some folk even update details on TDL. Many do not.
  9. The dates of report and extension are not suppose to coincide. They have nothing to do with each other.
  10. 90 day report has nothing to do with extensions. The dates rarely are the same. Some immigration offices do a 90 day report at the time you obtain your extension. They think it's helpful. IMO it's not.
  11. "There could become a time...." Oh dear the soothsayers came out early in 2023.
  12. You will be fine. Previously when I used mail option for 90 reports prior to improved online system .... I used 2 B4 size envelopes One for lodgement and the other for return. Using larger than necessary return envelope CW returns all my photocopies etc. You might like to try online new option. Works a treat.
  13. OP, I'm sure you are aware that a tourist visa is also an option at HCMC and return flights cheap. They require an appointment. Just another option. Being UK you are visa exempt 15 days for Vietnam. Also did you consider just a border bounce to Laos. Visa exempt entry will give you 45 day stamp that can be extended by 30 days. Dont follow the tv option for land border.
  14. Delete if this post inappropriate. Many folk asking re when your back on deck. Great news.
  15. Yes you can. However no moaning if extension not granted due to missing doc or spurious request.
  16. Some offices up to 30 days prior to expiry. Others 45 days prior
  17. That should be plenty for proof of address. Seems now CW is asking to see last 90 day report and you have that and also note a TM30 in pp. That should cover it. Just the usual photocopies from your pp eg identity age last extension stamp and last entry stamp. I always provide my original non O stamp or if you have a renewal pp the info for that visa is in first page in current pp. Obviously all the banking side of things. Seems that you are providing photocopies of bankbook pages for last 12 months and not bank statements. Not sure what Buriram insist upon. Seems many offices are now insisting on 12 months of bank statements.
  18. OP, you need to state your immigration office for accurate information.
  19. OP, there is a process for this. @Sheryl has outlined this previously. Hopefully she can outline the details. OP, here is old thread with advice. Is it possible to apply for your extension now prior to operation.
  20. Seems you entered visa exempt. With a visa exempt exempt entry you use a TM87 form visa application form instead of a TM86 change of visa status form.
  21. Yes. To obtain the non O you will require TM30 or lease etc. The immigration office will advise. If you are applying for non O retirement then you require 800k in Thai bank on day of application. You will require min 15 days remaining on your current permission of stay when you apply for non O
  22. At CW Bangkok Bank can provide you bank letter on the spot. I suggest you attend the branch at CW on day of appointment and make small deposit (100b) along with bank letter (100b). For Bangkok Bank they require days to provide 12 month bank statements. Suggest you do that separately a week prior. The banks at CW are on lower level.
  23. Think you will find that doesn't apply to the run of the mill farang.
  24. That is not correct however as I post this I notice @ThailandRyan has a first hand experience. Thinking that will be for neighbouring nationals. Long time ago thinking it was possible to revisit immigration with new pp and have dates extented. That is not the case now.
  25. Certainly 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in own country is very popular plan. Thinking there are already options for that such as METV or TV with extension and visa run for repeat. My reading of the OP was to use his plan ongoing visa exempt+non O wash and repeat for ongoing stay. Just a way to circumvent the rules.
