Non Imm O-A visa return
DrJack54 replied to Thai Visa Member 999999's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No. Also note that his non O-A visa has an expiry date. If he does an exit reenter just prior to expiry of his visa he will be stamped in for 12 months. Note he will require health insurance for that period and be aware that any travel out of Thailand requires a reentry permit. -
It's not huge money . Assume your friend has good intentions so should just wipe this off to experience and continue his good work. Might be a cheap lesson.

Savanakhet multi O wife current situation
DrJack54 replied to Joratewitch's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have never read it's required. Having stated that you are applying outside of Thailand. For me , I would pack the kitchen sink.. Kor Ror 2 is easy to obtain. -
Fools are easily separated from their money.. Your friend fits that and slightly surprised you ask a forum such a silly question. He got scammed.

Savanakhet multi O wife current situation

My second post has links to recent threads.. Give them a read.. -
A non O multiple entry visa valid for 12 months from date of issue cannot be obtained in Thailand. A non O retirement single entry can be obtained in Thailand from visa exempt or tourist visa entry. The multiple entry non O visa requires exit from Thailand as each entry provides a 90 day stamp. You mention mobility issues .. Cannot see this as good option ongoing.

Think this sums up certain folk. https://youtube.com/watch?v=-yV7nK8lF8Q&feature=share

14 days! It's not coming. Same for me for the last two. My due date was last Thursday and have appointment CW Next Wednesday. Rubbish system despite most have no issue. Here is link for appointment at CW. Works a treat If you use it made hard copy print of confirmation email. When you go to que desk go to far right side. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131

His mobility issues if anything will get worse. If he wants to live ongoing in Thailand he could consider the use of agent in the future to obtain Non O retirement and ongoing extensions. No need to exit Thailand at all. Initial cost not minor given that he would also need agent to open a bank account however ongoing it's not serious money for annual extensions. Where does he live in Thailand?

Re-entry Permit. Suvarnabhumi Airport??
DrJack54 replied to Gee Bangkok's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Be aware that if you are obtaining reentry permit at DMK the office is past passport control. You can see the office just behind the immigration officer stamping you out. -
Yes. The link you quoted me is just a link to that condo.. It also lists many others. Having read a second post where the OP confirms that his friend can't even ride on back of bike makes location #1. VT6 having exit/entry door to beach road and frontage to Second Rd hard to beat.

Pink Line to Changwattana?
DrJack54 replied to ricklev's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Bit off topic: Some folk might be interested in this guy's site. He has an accurate map of all the future transit (under construction) You can include it into your Google maps. Great when considering where to buy/rent etc. Google "Greg to differ" and look for transit map. Looks like this. -
Have you actually made suggestions or just critise others. Yes the OP gave clear guidelines of what he is after. The guy does not have bike or car and possibly not safe even on back of bike. My first link was to VT6 and yes while it was 48sm and studio.... Do you think VT6 does not have bigger apartments. It was the name of a condo that would have many various options. In any event don't like your style of posting . On Ignore.

Not the point. You can narrow the search to any particular area. My Thai partner has couple of condos and a townhouse. I just asked her how she finds tenants. On the good old facebook she selects an area joins a group. The agents view these pages and try and find tenant. Back to the OP.... Most rentals are handled by agents for the "finder's fee" so to speak. Unlike the way rental agents in western countries where the agent is ongoing and ongoing commission. If someone wants to deal completely just direct owner he would to walk into a place like View Talay and they have listings on a board. Actually just rented one to a USA guy with 12 month lease. He with his Thai gf just walked into the office of our building and asked office manager what's available. The office managers are aware of what's going on in the building. She knew we had recently purchased and did complete makeover. Took this guy straight to our room and my partner and he discussed rental. She said this he said yes. The office manager received one month rent from the owner previous to us and making offers on our behalf. She also got one months rent when she introduced the USA guy.. So she received 17k for finding renter and doing the contract.

Agree. I don't live Pattaya but frequent visitor. VT6 is on the beach and has largish rooms 48sm There is always rooms available for rent. For pool lovers it has enormous pool. Has direct access to beach road. Gate using key card. Fronts Second Rd so for someone without own car/bike can travel easily in both directions on the baht buses VERY close to central plaza. I like the Soi 7-9 area.
