As should be the case. Good to see some immigration offices playing by the rules instead of making up their own. -
Non-Imm O with notarized letter of pension
DrJack54 replied to TimLMT's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No insurance required for non O obtained in Thailand and no insurance for annual extensions. You will need to use money in bank method. Obviously you need a bank account and this is difficult with visa exempt entry. Suggest you use an agent for the bank account. Your 30 day visa exempt entry can be extended by 30 days to gain time if required. -
Re-entry permit with a Retirement visa

An agent? Surely not. Download a TM8 fill in form. Attach photo. Pay 1000 baht for single reentry. 3800 for multiple. Can obtain at immigration or at airport at departure. -
If they are continued all I can hope for is all the sad folk stop with the ..."there are flights available why don't they go home" routine. As I have stated for months covid extensions have nothing to do with that. For some reason the government has the order in gazette for their own reasons. That's it ....

Getting a Non O visa in Thailand.
DrJack54 replied to tomx2's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Read my earlier post. You set up account with Wise. Very quick and simple. You type in the amount you wish to transfer. Wise gives instant quote with exchange rate and their charges etc. You nominate a bank in Thailand (your Thai bank account) for the funds to be transfered to. You then confirm deal. You then do online transfer from your USA bank to the Wise account. Clearly if in Thailand you need to be aware of any limit your USA bank may have ... Example daily limit. -
Interesting.... In the past it appears that immigration offices/officers have no idea about covid extensions being made past any current deadline. July 25 being in place currently. Strangely very few comments about this recently. Thinking most believe it's a sure thing that CE won't be available past July 25. I'm not so sure. Applying 3 weeks early was always touch and go.

Thailand Immigration

If you are married it's a no brainer. The financial requirements are not onerous. The downside is that it requires paperwork and possibly a home visit at extension time etc. -
