  1. You are correct. CW is right. CM is wrong. Be aware that also if you exit Thailand with a reentry permit upon your return you are not required to file a TM30
  2. I was incorrect. Brain fade. You need the 15 days if applying for a non O in Thailand. He is applying for extension. Can apply up till day of expiry. ???? Sorry
  3. Yes.....however. If the visa you are referring to is a non O retirement and you plan on obtaining a 12 month extension you would not have time to apply for extension. Immigration requires 15 days remaining. OP, do you actually have a visa or an extension with a reentry permit?
  4. The point is regarding the 800k in Thai bank it is eventually required for the extension even if you obtain the non O outside of Thailand. Another good thing about applying in Thailand at immigration is that if there is a small thing that needs to be provided you can attend to it.
  5. Makes perfect sense to me. Easy visual display of an entry and exit stamp side by side. Especially frequent flyers. Here is snap of random pp page. Makes sense.
  6. Agree. However..... My last extension retirement at CW young io clerk wanted to see one year bank statement as I had couple of months with no transactions (I use dedicated bank account). Never required previously. So they do like to play games.
  7. If requirements are met when is it not granted. You make it sound that the application goes to the parole board.
  8. "VERY REAL possibility...." Scaremongering at best. Why not go the whole hog and include extensions based on marriage.
  9. Don't understand one part of that. You are trying to discuss extensions based on retirement from a non O visa. Or a non O-A which is a visa valid for one year Or a multiple entry visa based in retirement. BTW no such thing as a retirement visa.
  10. Again with the access to money reference. That's minor. Geez .. Many other reasons to have your pp with you on one month road trip. Clearly on ignore for good reason.
  11. That's sort of irrelevant. You are clearly a tourist regardless of age.. If you were spending LOT of time in Thailand immigration might suggest a non O retirement more appropriate.
  12. So do you suggest OP goes on a one month road trip to an island driving a car Yes Or No without his passport . Simple question. . Let's see your level of awareness. To state pp not necessary is madness. Necessary meaning sensible option
  13. When were you last admitted to hospital and what did you provide for admission. Find your post inaccurate.
  14. So full of it . Do you recommend the OP take a one month road trip to an island with OR without his passport. That's a yes or no.
  15. You answered your own thread. What are you asking
  16. Silly thread. If you are over 50 and spending ongoing time in Thailand you should obtain the appropriate visa. That being non O based on retirement with subsequent extension.
  17. That is a reason to not require a passport on a one month trip to an island that is also a road trip. Many reasons why pp may be required. Hilarious.
  18. 3 pages of rubbish. For the trip the OP outlines he should 100% take his passport. Suggestions otherwise are ridiculous.
  19. The immigration officer was wrong. Doesn't help the guy much however a TM30 was not required. Strange he didn't do the TM47 online.
  20. Did he enter with visa exempt/new visa OR return with reentry permit. If the later a TM30 should not have been required at CW.
  21. Do you plan to obtain an extension to your visa exempt entry?
