  1. OP...if you Google ..."exactly your title heading" and tack on the end AseanNow.... Your AseanNow now threads will be displayed. Work your way through those threads and you can make your call.
  2. Could be as simple as online banking and wife has those details.
  3. If used for extension purposes the joint account would not be an option
  4. What is you basis of such a strange post. I use money in bank method and have a Will to pass that to Thai partner. Don't post such throw away lines without basic facts.
  5. Poor assumption. Also seems you are not aware of what's required for him to do a TM30. Suggest he ask his accommodation to file a TM30 and give him a screenshot of online report.
  6. It will eventually pass to your wife. A Will is recommended. Upon your death your embassy is notified. Also bank at some point. This thread covered in other forums.
  7. Why. He entered on 30 day stamp. His hotel should have filed a TM30. The correct answer is first reply.
  8. Try tacking on "AseanNow" at end of Google search. eg "extension retirement report CW AseanNow". It will list threads on AseanNow now concerning the topic you want info about..
  9. The OP is about non O retirement. NOT non O-A. My reply was to someone banging on about the future possibility of insurance becoming a requirement for extensions to non O retirement. Not slightest bit interested in insurance requirements for non O-A.
  10. That pretty much says it all. My guess would be that Pattaya has abnormally high number of folk using agents compared to the rest of Thailand. Overall may guess would be way way less than 50% of expats use agents.
  11. Talk about a stretch....90% Would love to see the data to support that claim.
  12. What you are asking about is referred to as the combo method (combination of income and funds in the bank) Indeed that is an option. It must be pointed out that some immigration offices don't accept it. Think it's best to indicate which immigration office you would be dealing with for specific info.
  13. What's your point. Yes Malaysian folk do not have that limit as one example. Do I need qualify every post. The OP came on tourist visa. My guess he does have the limitation I indicated.. Perhaps he can clarify.
  14. Indeed. Google "onwardflight.com" or "rent a flight" Approx 15usd. Or throw away ticket. It would not be asked at Thai immigration however may be asked by airline at departure.
  15. Even if not required, if fully vaccinated always have proof of that.
  16. Yes. Also you can obtain a 30 day extension to that visa exempt entry. You can do 2 visa exempt via land per calendar year
  17. I'm surprised with uj reply. Having said that, that guy never wrong. I would have typed that they will want to see your previous monthly deposits. Back to your previous extension. Apparently not.
  18. All I can think of is distance of travel to obtain embassy letter. Seems strange.
  19. The way it works is that YOU transfer the funds from your bank to WISE. Wise, prior to the transfer gives you exact "quote" with their charges clearly stated along with exchange rate. Wise then transfers to your designated bank in Thailand. Your bank in USA many have transfer limits and it's important to check all that out. AseanNow has a banking forum with threads on this topic. One example here .
  20. Your OP is basically correct. The bank letter confirms you are account holder and balance on that day. You will need provide bank book and photocopies to show 800k in bank for 2 months prior to application. Also need to bankbook to show monthly deposits from previous extension.
  21. Lot of folk use WISE. Fortunately Bangkok Bank is one of the few banks that WISE can transfer 800k+ baht in one hit (2million max). Need to make sure the transfer has FTT code.
  22. The OP stated this.... "Will I need a return ticket for either 30 or 60 days to enter on a tourist visa." He may require a return or onward flight for eg SETV. That will depend on the consulate. My point is that it does not necessarily have to be return. As far as airline goes for boarding if someone has a visa the airline will not require proof of onward flight. The OP has confused things by stating.. "30 or 60 day to enter on tourist visa" He thinks of visa exempt entry same as tourist visa. Just the same as folk talking about "visa on arrival ".. when they mean visa exempt entry. Regarding visa exempt the airline may require proof of return/onward flight. Most of which is splitting hairs. Move on.
