  1. Normally I rarely suggest to deliberately go on overstay. However this is a very short (2 day overstay) I wouldn't even be surprised if immigration advised you to pay overstay on departure if you went there to apply for extension (that would be refused) and the 7 day to leave issued. Obviously keep your head down last couple of days.
  2. Won't work. Might be rejected after two back to back tourist visas. Places like Phnom Penh issue the visa and place VOID stamp on it.
  3. Don't go to immigration. Pay overstay at airport.
  4. If you qualify for visa exempt entry a border run won't be an issue. Visa exempt rises to 45 days from Oct 1. Each visa exempt entry can be extended by 30 days. 1900baht.
  5. The onward flight is for airline at departure. Possibly not required. You need to have it within 30 days (yes I'm aware visa exempt changes to 45 from Oct 1) For the onward flight you can use "rent a ticket" Buy a throw away ticket. Or buy a flexible return flight with changeable date. Since you know you are flying with Emirates you could check with them their policy in regards to onward flight requirements. Some airlines allow you to sign a waiver
  6. Can't understand much of that. Airline at departure may ask for onward flight if flying visa exempt. With a visa or reentry permit the airline will not ask about onward flight. Have no idea why you are questioned by immigration. Also asked about return flight. Not normal.
  7. When you arrive in Thailand you won't need to show onward flight. The onward flight within 30 days can be requested by the airline at departure to issue boarding pass. I notice you posted that for your particular route the return flight is often not much more expensive than one way. The onward flight needs to be within 30 days so you would need a ticket that has low cost date change.
  8. The ticket works fine. Threads about them if you want to research. Alternative is to purchase a throw away ticket. Return is not required. Any onward ticket is ok. Regarding land border entries you will not be refused visa exempt entry. Some land borders (Malaysia) required overnight stay. You would need to check the land border you plan to use.
  9. OP, suggest best idea is outlined above by uj. Not lot of advantage in tourist visa over visa exempt once it changes to 45 days (Oct 1). Both can be extended by 30 days. Suggest visa exempt entry with couple of border runs.
  10. Visa exempt entry gives 45 day stamp from Oct 1. Tourist Visa gives 60 day stamp. Both can be extended by 30 days. That's it ...no reentry permit. Exit prior to expiry of permit and obtain a new 45 day visa exempt entry stamp when you re-enter. That can also be extended by 30 days.
  11. So you are applying for 30 day extension. Use your TM30 as mentioned earlier. Added note: be aware that if obtaining your extension in Bangkok you will use Laski immigration, IT Mall, as you entered visa exempt.
  12. TM30 Also have screenshot of it. What type of extension?
  13. Unrelated but hopefully someone can advise. When someone enters Thailand with say visa exempt and then obtains a non O retirement does obtaining the non O reset the 90 day report clock?. Was asked recently and not sure. I'm aware that subsequent first extension will start clock. No sure if the non O application does likewise. TIA.
  14. You can do a border bounce when your permission of stay is about to expire. You exit and reenter visa exempt and stamped in for 45:days. That can be extended by 30 days and also by 60 days to visit wife. You can do that twice per calendar year.
  15. Indeed. He can obtain that after he is married. FWIW here is good lesson for me to be not so quick to judge. Rob is trying to do a good thing. OP ....after arrival in Thailand you can always do a border run for visa exempt entry to buy time to marry etc. 45 days for visa exempt when you plan to visit. Each reentry entities you to 60 day extension to visit wife.
  16. From Rob... "You are obviously quite well off, four hundred thousand baht equates to £9567 at current rates" Most likely UK meaning no embassy letter.
  17. How did you enter Thailand? Meaning visa exempt or tourist visa or...? When does your current permission of stay end. The 60 day extension to visit wife applies to many status Folk with a visa and tourist visa and non O or extensions from a non O can apply for that 60 day extension. Once per entry to Thailand.
  18. You have jumped about back and forth regarding obtaining extension retirement yourself and via use of agent. Think I have already suggested chat with ThaiVisaCentre or Bangkok Buddy here in Bangkok or contact one of the many agents in Pattaya.. One example Maneerat.
  19. To apply for non O marriage you could have 400k in Thai bank account on day of application. That visa would give you a 90 day stamp. You could enter visa exempt and receive 45 days (from Oct 1) and also obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife (after marriage); The extension is 1900baht. BTW you state .... "You are obviously quite well off, four hundred thousand baht equates to £9567 at current rates"... As I mentioned it only needs to be in the account on day you obtain a 90 day non O.
  20. Your passport ID page showing you are citizen of that country would be sufficient.
  21. The huge sum you refer to for extension based on marriage is 400k in bank for 2 months prior to application and maintained for under consideration period. After that the funds can be used. Put simply money in bank for approx 3 months each year and then used as you wish. Very modest requirements.
  22. You will receive better answers in community form "marriage children" etc Here is one example....
  23. Read earlier posts. If obtaining a non O retirement inside Thailand from a visa exempt or tourist visa the funds must be shown to come from abroad. Subsequent 12 month extentions do not require proof funds came from abroad.
  24. Nothing like the amount I see. I best have another look. From the net: . "The e-Visa is valid for 30 days, and single entry only. The e-Visa costs 25 USD for card payments. It requires three full working days to process." Seems $25usd is correct. I'm going to apply and confirm
