  1. Irrelevant apart from fact that gives heads up to anyone dealing with your office. 800 is max I have ever read of. 500 for on the spot at some offices. You asked did you do the wrong thing. Prob not however I would pay the 800b as I tend to adhere to "when in Rome"
  2. I like the way you put that. My thai partner an myself big fan of national parks. Yes the old duel pricing. She Thai 40 baht me farang 200b. Doesn't bother me one bit.
  3. You require COR for example obtaining new TDL. I recently renewed my TDL and have not changed address however needed to obtain new cor.
  4. Without naming the immigration office it's useless to discuss. My immigration office is CW. Certificate of residence is 200b and delivered by mail. Takes about 5 working days. There is no option to pay extra and obtain COR on the spot. In regards to embassies providing equivalent UK,USA,AU do not. (no I'm not referring to income letter)
  5. That's a pity. As posted earlier this all seems to syncing TM30 report address with online 90 day reporting. Personally have no plan to do TM30.
  6. Just my own experience CW .... My first extension I shown my one year lease. Never did a TM30. Since then have never made a TM30 and have stayed same address since 12 years. I do TM47 via mail in person and online when it worked for me. Currently seems immigration syncing TM30 with TM47. Immigration offices seem to run their own rules regarding some things such as TM30. You state that you need a new TM30...is that to do with online reporting?
  7. OP, which immigration office do you use. Assume you are living in Thailand ongoing extensions. Typing this from Saigon airport and have done few of these trips in recent times. I certainly won't be filing a TM30 upon return . Immigration office CW.
  8. I don't quite see it that way. Granted you will receive the final stamp once under consideration However the question of being away from home (eg holiday) for the under consideration period comes up in previous threads. Some immigration offices do a home visit and the OP could check if that's the case for his imm office
  9. Understand not naming agent. However you need to provide more details. Assume you are obtaining annual extensions based on retirement without financials. Perhaps depends on agent location. If you are referring to Bangkok agents 20k would not surprise me
  10. Really. Similar threads keep popping up. Just wait till/if it happens.
  11. Just to be clear. You don't have a visa. You have a permission of stay and that permit can be protected by obtaining a reentry permit if you plan to exit Thailand and reenter. Thinking the confusion down to previously using ME non O retirement which is a visa valid for one year. Different animals.
  12. Topic off track. Further chit chat off topic removed.
  13. Chap in thread this year in similar boat (visa exempt entry) got married then obtained the 60 to visit wife. Had success. Not his own thread so no point to chase it. I asked the OP earlier if he had a Thai bank account.
  14. Yes. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only? https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1315828-visa-exempt-to-90-day-non-o-spouse-visa-conversion-in-thailand/
  15. Think you should check it out prior.. Edit: I noticed you deal with CW. Hopefully a married guy can post recent experience regarding home visit
  16. You don't need wife with you when pick up pp. What about the home visit during under consideration period. Your office doesn't do that?
  17. You would not need to leave Thailand. You can obtain the non O marriage from the visa exempt entry. However all depends on immediate plans. Once married you can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife ... You haven't made clear immediate plans for next say 1 year. Seems little bit rushed. Lack of planning?
  18. The OP Stated...."I am willing to get a marriage visa, but as I understand it, that process takes some time, and is unlikely to get done quickly" Thinking he has been given incorrect information. Easy process
  19. What an amazing post pretty much about nothing. The OP is currently not married. Even if he does marry the Thai long term g/f you have gone off on so many unnecessary tangents. The one sentence I quoted is misinformation and basically nonsense. You base that on a bad personal experience. "Abusing the system" that's out there... MANY married guys have been obtaining ME non O marriage for years and years. No issue. If he does marry a non O marriage (single entry) + subsequent annual extensions a good option and financial requirements low threshold
  20. Actually it's the opposite.. Getting married to a Thai and obtaining a non O plus subsequent 12 month extension is relatively simple quick process. You mentioned gf of 10 years so yes it's an option and at 30 one of the easiest. You refer to non O and yes for retirement requires you to be 50 yr+. Non ED gives you a year. You don't mention if you wish to live ongoing in Thailand or just visit Thailand and continue working/living in own country.. The easiest option is marriage
  21. An METV can provide almost 9 months stay if timed correctly
  22. May have been the intention however has not been that way. Many folk living in Thailand with this 12 month visa and doing border bounce for next 90 day stamp.
  23. You can obtain the 60 anytime. When you exit any days from 60 extension remaining are gone, however you still have a valid multi entry visa. Don't think you mentioned your immigration office however most will give you good advice..
  24. https://aseannow.com/topic/1307757-getting-3060-day-extension-to-current-multi-entry-non-o-visa-to-visit-wife/ My understanding is that you can obtain one 60 day extension per entry with a ME Non marriage that you have. Happy to be corrected.
