Ignore information from that link. That is from Siam legal. OP, it seems you are good example of someone using back to back visa exempt entries. You state..... "It was the 6th time we had entered Thailand with every 'visa run' done safely with whole days out of the Country" Fact that you state "with whole days out" implies that your stay has been ongoing in Thailand. You need to look at alternative visa option.. METV would be one example. BTW you don't have a visitor visa. More likely a visa exempt entry 30 day stamp. You stated..,."Tourist Visa will require a UK trip" You can obtain a single entry tourist in nearby thai consulates/embassies such as Savannakhet and Saigon etc

I'm not sure, however thinking distinct possibility. Immigration offices/officers can vary dramatically. -
Advice needed post extension retirement funds
DrJack54 replied to sup3r1or's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP, be aware that some of the posts in this thread are way off the mark imo. The financial requirements are clearly stated in some of the replies. Most offices are extremely strict on meeting those requirements. Your father has couple of options. 1. Start over ..which would require a border bounce. Note this assumes no reentry permit in pp. There is a process to obtain non O from visa exempt entry and then subsequent extension. 2. Some will suggest he goes to his immigration office pleads ignorance. Can't imagine much success. That could result in being given 7 days to exit Thailand. 3. You could wait till next extension is due and use an agent. You would need to ask agent if a new non O is required Note: any dealings with immigration in meantime could cause issues. Recently I obtained new pp and went to CW immigration for transfer. Immigration made me provide my bank book and photocopies of all balances back to date of current permission of stay granted.. Edit: OP I see you started a thread September last year asking about financials for retirement. Here is part of first reply.... "2. You need to have 800k in account for at least 5 months so most will just keep it above 800k always." -
How to get a 3-month visa to Thailand

Good advice in couple of earlier posts. One other alternative is to enter visa exempt (30 day) and obtain 60 day extension "to visit wife" -
TM30... I didn't know this.
DrJack54 replied to Skipalongcassidy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Hospital stay has nothing to do with anything. The issue covered in many threads is doing 90 day report online when someone has stayed anywhere be that hotel, hospital etc. I suggest if you had made TM47 in person or via mail no TM30 would be required (at most offices) -
Online eVisa - stuck on accomodation
DrJack54 replied to KunMatt's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can book few days accom eg Agoda fully refundable. Does not require entire stay. -
Not everything has appointments available at CW. Certificate of residence one example. Transfer of stamps another. You can obtain que ticket at front desk. https://aseannow.com/topic/1306581-transferring-visa-to-a-new-passport/ Note: the thread attached has link to form CW use. On back of form lists requirements. Also take note of my post that if you are on extension retirement using money in bank method you need to provide bankbook and photocopies of pages for current extension and bankbook update. Here is link to form download https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=939160&key=2e63bc0d8abee18369df31b777516cb4

Tourist extension at Surat Thani
DrJack54 replied to USNret's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No. You require a TM7 + Photo + photocopies of basic pages of pp + TM30+ 1900b -
Valid point. My point is that since OP opening comment was..... "Due to the uncertainty re my marriage...." He should have an alternative back up plan. Citizenship in particular bridge too far in short term. He works for the wife it would seem so any divorce would limit his options. Hence my first post asking his age.

Re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi?
DrJack54 replied to TPDH's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
200b is optional service at both Bangkok airports. I always do my own TM8 with photos etc. My many multi reentry cost 3800. Up to you. -
How rude. If over 50 you have option to change from extension based on marriage to based on retirement. Your opening line..... "Due to the uncertainty re my marriage".. Far easier to switch to based on retirement while still married. Edit: I was thinking reply was from OP. So @advancebooking give OP advice. My guess you have none
