  1. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only? Here is another thread that outlines the process.. https://aseannow.com/topic/1342849-tourist-visa-exempt-then-apply-for-non-o-based-on-marriage/
  2. The OP specifically started thread re Visa based on marriage. DTV as an alternative was posted earlier in thread.
  3. CW can take much longer than one week.
  4. Yes just means trip to your immigration office.
  5. Yes. Replying to too many PM. SCB can provide 12 month bank statement on the spot. Just note it takes lil bit of time. Perhaps 30-40 mins
  6. The bank letter is fine from any branch. The 12 month statement can be requested at any branch. The branch will forward to head office. CW will accept letter and 12 month statement up to 7 days prior. However recommend couple days prior better option.
  7. Reentry Permit has validity from date of issue till expiry of current permission of stay (extension) As for permit at airport....I have obtained many. Typically 10mins. Most ever was 30min. You allow for traffic etc Up to you.
  8. Thinking that advice should be tempered. My most recent at DMK, I couldn't believe how many people were obtaining reentry permit they actually set up bench seating Outside the office. To be fair it still only took about 30 mins. The guy doing overstay desk shared the load so there was 2 on it. BTW I was about the only one providing my own filled in TM8
  9. You have correct advice from Tod. Keep in mind that if for some reason you do not obtain the non O eVisa (abroad) ...You can enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain the Non O at local immigration. However this would involve under consideration period for the Non O application and again for the 12 month extension
  10. In the main the cost of opening Bank Account is for purchase of "insurance" from the bank. The age criteria is 64. So it varies from 4700b (over 64) to 3700b (under 64)
  11. Many (not all) use WISE for transfers. Be aware that only 3 banks have higher limits...here is cut and paste.. "Wise has transfer limits of 2,000,000 THB per transfer to Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn Bank in Thailand. The limit for Siam Commercial Bank is 1,499,999 THB per transfer. For other banks, the limit is 49,999 THB per transfer". Also note that if you are dealing with CW the SCB bank does not have a branch at immigration. BBL cannot issue 12 month bank statement on the spot. I use Kasikorn for those reasons alone.. The higher transfer limit is handy if you ever eg purchase real estate.
  12. Yes. Maneerat is 12,500 for annual extension. 8k with own funds.
  13. With an FD account most immigration offices would be ok with just photocopies of bank book pages.
  14. For annual extensions based on retirement the money in bank is checked retrospectively back to previous extension for compliance
  15. Thinking you will be surprised. The "discount" for you covering the financials is not the significant amount one would imagine..
  16. Not many folk would bother with using agent for hand holding. Extension retirement are very straightforward. The main thing you provide is financial requirements.
  17. That will not be affected. Stick to thread
  18. CW don't do TM47 when you obtain new extension. BTW 90 report at CW in person is an excursion in itself
  19. The VAST majority of folk using agent to obtain 1.bank account 2. Non O 3. 12 month extension do not have/want to meet the financial requirements. That's what the thread concerns.. Not hand holding or obtaining extension early
  20. Asked her what? Your previous post stated ...."Available provided you have the800k". Folk using an agent don't have the 800k
  21. What's that mean. Checked with who? One of the main reasons for using an agent is that you want the financial requirements covered
  22. Just check threads re success with ME Non O marriage in Vietnam recently. As you are aware it's all via eVisa now. So you apply once in Vietnam. Ran into young UK guy who just entered with a DTV (online work) It was processed VERY quickly. In his case it wasn't smoke and mirrors, he actually has a UK employer and actually does his work online. Perfect. Personally not a fan of soft power options however in your shoes definitely a good option with qualifying for the online work. Note: in attached thread read first post from @Tod Daniels I haven't seen any recent reports of a ME Non O https://aseannow.com/topic/1334937-is-a-one-year-multi-entry-marriage-visa-still-available-from-hcmc/
