  1. Discussed in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1321369-1-year-multiple-entry-based-on-marriage-savannakhet-feb-28th-2024-report/ And here https://aseannow.com/topic/1310170-savannakhet-now-require-bank-statement-400k-for-1-year-multi-visa-non-o-marriage-or-thai-family/
  2. Currently I am planning to switch from money in bank method to income method. Granted my extension based on retirement. My most recent (current) extension I need to maintain money in bank requirements. At the same time from last extension started monthly transfers. For my next extension I can show 12 monthly transfers= forward planning
  3. Very simple answer. It would not work. It requires forward planning to switch from money in bank method to income method
  4. You would require 12 months of transfers. Your previous extension was based on funds in the bank?
  5. Ask your questions in this current ongoing thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/121353-story-of-my-thai-citizenship-application/

  7. Borders to Laos are open. As for agent. Here is one thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1214004-chiang-mai-visa-agent/ As for not wishing to fly or bus it you are running out of time Simple Google search shows companies doing border runs from CM
  8. Does not matter if you enter Thailand by air or land/sea border. You would be given 30 day stamp which can be extended by 30. With or without the extension you can apply for non O marriage with 400k in Thai bank account. You would need 21 days remaining on your permission of stay to apply at CM. The process is outlined in the links to threads I posted above. I wouldn't recommend fly out/in same day.
  9. You could consider a border bounce and obtain a non O at your immigration office. That would require 400k in Thai bank account in your name only on day of application. In attached thread posted info for process of obtaining non O in Thailand and links to other threads Bit late to apply for the 60 day extension at CM as you have very few days left and would need TM30 etc
  10. It should not be an issue. Here is old thread but nothing has changed. Note in ubonjoe second post he points out that this extension can be obtained from a tourist visa and even visa exempt entry. Which immigration office is telling you "not possible": https://aseannow.com/topic/1130123-re-60-day-extension-to-visit-your-wife/
  11. Perhaps implies he a "friend" in Surat Thani. So is this for ongoing living/retirement?
  12. How do you enter Thailand meaning visa , visa exempt, extension protected by reentry permit etc ?
  13. You are referring to different situation. I'm tired of positing the link to change of rules in 2020. Read carefully section 2.2. 2.2 After the house holder, owner or possessor of the premise of hotel manager has reported as defined in Article 2.1, the same alien has left the premise and returned for another stay within the valid period, the house holder, owner or possessor of the premise of hotel manager do not need to make another report; The alien as defined in paragraph one shall include those whobeing granted multiple-visa who leaves and returns to the Kingdom with specified time in the visa, and those with re-entry permit.
  14. Maybe I'm misreading the OP. Seems he is currently in UK and wishing to renew pp while still there prior to upcoming trip to Thailand? Don't know why he is asking in this forum
  15. I have been posting as much as I can giving heads up about this "new requirement" They made me go downstairs to bank and make deposit into my FD and Savings account. I use money in bank method and 800k+ all year round.. To be fair they photocopied my bank book pages back to my last extension date. I pointed to the requirements on back of the form for requirements to transfer into to new pp. The banking requirement was not shown. I just happened to have my bank book with me.
  16. After you renew your pp at some point you need to attend immigration to have your visa info and stamps transferred to your new pp. There is no urgency and some folk even leave till attending immigration for something such as extensions. I did this a few months back and out of the blue immigration wanted my bank books and photocopies of pages back to my previous extension. Come prepared for this. Here is link. The form you need is #25 https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=3202 Remember to update details of new passport with bank
  17. Italian pp holders receive 30 day stamp. That can be extended by 30 days at immigration. 1900b
  18. Vientiane is an option. You can fly to udon Thani and it's not far in minivan to friendship bridge. Vientiane requires an appointment for visa application. If there is an issue with obtaining the visa you could reenter visa exempt land border Nong Khai. If your history was not so extensive I would suggest obtaining SETV at Saigon.
  19. OP, first answer correct. You attend IT mall LakSi. Your 30 day extension starts from expiry date of your 30 day visa exempt entry. Couple of weeks early should be OK. You most likely need to provide TM30. There is photocopy joint next to office. You can make appointment if you want.
