  1. Thinking DTV for your situation a good option. Especially as you are not looking at soft power options. If the ME Non O is available that's an option however you would in Laos be applying for eVisa and the process time at this point is not clear. Along with payment for the eVisa. Of course if over 50 you could consider non O retirement with or without agent .
  2. Same as another poster ...I don't understand any of your posts. Seems you were always going to Poi Pet. Despite many posts against that idea. Fixated on page of pp for Laos visa. Then finally indicate that border run from Pattaya is an option. Use an agent minivan company from Pattaya Here is post from OP in recent thread. He did same day bounce from Pattaya. "Agency: Thai visa service (TVS) in Pattaya Price: 4000 + 2500 (because I'm on Non O) Border: Ban Pakkad"
  3. OP take note of post above from Rob. Basically no dealings with immigration in the 7 days. Pack bags and get out of dodge.
  4. It's a new squeeze. Perhaps take some extra baht to grease the wheels.
  5. Thanks for report. @Tod Daniels updated forum re change of policy at this previously friendly same day bounce now requiring overnight stay.
  6. The term Retirement extension is misleading. The requirement for Non O "retirement " has one main condition. That being age 50+. One condition is not working in Thailand.
  7. Don't understand the question. Personally (like many) have asset, bank accounts in home country. The 400k would come from income savings rents etc.
  8. You have misunderstood my post. For folk using 400k money in bank method after extension approval you do not send out of Thailand. You live off that money. Prior to next extension you make sure money is back up to 400k 2 months prior to application. Wash and repeat.
  9. Good point. Some offices offer "combination method" option. Obviously anyone would run it past their immigration office. As soon as the monthly transfers hit my account the funds get transferred into my Thai partners account.
  10. Obviously I was referring to international transfers. I like many others including USA guys use WISE. In the event the transfer is shown/coded as Thai bank to Thai bank (happens often) then you obtain "credit advice" from bank Don't play semantics.
  11. It is. You just need to run the two options for one year in parallel. After one year of monthly deposits and also satisfying money in bank method you can switch. I'm doing that now
  12. Understand it now. As posted earlier I would reenter after permission of stay expiry. You are guaranteed no issue. You won't be questioned.
  13. The 800k is required for 2 months prior and 3 after application. Not below 400k other months. Keep in mind income method 65k monthly retirement or 40k monthly marriage. Both can use the funds straight away. Not a high hurdle. No need to tie up funds in a Thai bank there is option.
  14. The sweet deal that extensions based on marriage has is using money in bank method the 400k can be used as soon as extension approved. Your idea would go down like a lead balloon
  15. Common under consideration period to be one month Thread seems more like a rant. You can have someone attend immigration for final stamp. BTW not all applications are sent to Bangkok for approval.
  16. You started a thread asking clarification re TM7 and TM47. Simple question and simple answer. Now posting about ongoing border bounces for visa exempt entries as possible alternative to extensions.
  17. Your friend already had a non O in the past The 25k you refer to was to obtain the non O most likely from visa exempt entry and subsequent 12 month extension. That is not your friends situation.
  18. That would be correct. Approx 13k for extension (covering financials and bit under 5k for bank account. 90 reporting available on request. You are answering baiting questions from folk having certain attitude to agents.
  19. Happens. Not going to read back the thread. Think he already went to Pattaya... In any event he can use agent for next extension. If wants to do extensions in future without agent that's possible. Near end of that extension he can exit Thailand without reentry permit and reenter visa exempt (border bounce). We refer to this as start over. From visa exempt he can obtain a non O retirement and subsequent extensions. He would need to attend immigration with agent.
  20. Not aware of any posts suggesting that the limit of 2 visa exempt entries per calendar year is still in place. Your situation is not typical. Opting for border bounce instead of annual extensions is possible since location is UR. Perhaps you would consider other options if location made bounce far more difficult.
  21. Nothing of any note in your post. When you state .,.... "When the time came to extend to 12 more months, this time completely legit,..." I don't follow. Applications are checked retrospectively. Changing from agent assisted extension (cover financials) back to DIY then exit Thailand "start over" standard MO..
  22. Clearly you have not followed the threads. Sometimes few threads are same time. Countless reports of rejection. My own experience included. To think this is down to incorrect filling in of the online application is ludicrous. As I pointed out there is autofill available using the magnifying 🔍 icon. Also people can check the information. The OP, was concerning CW.
  23. The OP is asking about a border bounce. He wants to exit Thailand obtain entry stamp to Laos turn around and reenter Thailand. Taking car with him crazy.
  24. Your experience does not match the many that have been rejected. Through away lines such as "know their own date of birth date" etc are just wise cracks. Online reporting has drop magnifying glass for auto fill. The only field that may need changing is enter date in the event of overseas travel. Your report was accepted and no immigration office was mentioned along with any travel abroad etc
