  1. Please post fact. First hand experience of going upstairs well dressed to open a bank account account with a tourist visa and nothing else. Within last year.
  2. Do not follow. It is possible to make a deposit on day of application. Most FD accounts requure minimum deposit of 1000b. Not an issue.
  3. FD account is fine. Be aware that for extension based on marriage you only require 400k in account for 2 months prior to application for extension and also under consideration period. After that the funds can be use. imo better option.
  4. Well known Rogue office. Other examples of that office playing their own game.
  5. That is because that is the law. Most immigration offices are abiding by that and a TM30 is not required for OP situation
  6. To certain extent that is true. The vast majority of immigration offices have followed the change to tm30 rules in June 2020. A couple one being CM are rogue regarding this. I asked OP which immigration office. Has not updated.
  7. Assume that you have annual extension and obtained a reentry permit to enable your recent return to Thailand. You do not need to file a TM30. Which immigration office
  8. You have done your research. Thinking this is your best option rather than PE visa. The details outlined in post by @Lite Beer
  9. Just the usual basic. Copy Photo page pp. Copy of most recent entry stamp Copy of most recent visa if have one Copy of most recent extension if have one. As usual check with immigration. Each office may have their own requirements.
  10. The 60 day you refer to is not a non O. It's an extension. You could enter Thailand with a single entry non O marriage. That will provide a 90 day stamp. Prior to the expiry of that stamp you apply for 60 day extension to visit wife. Prior to expiry of that 60 you apply for 12 month extension. You need 400k in bank for 2 months prior to date of application for the extension
  11. OP, you do not requure all the photocopies you mention. If doing it yourself you can download tm8. It's 2 pages. Print out back to back one page. You can obtain reentry permit at airport and have immigration fill in form etc along with picture. 200b service fee. Multi reentry is 3800, so if you use service option 4k
  12. This thread is not progressing in helpful way. Thread closed
  13. Despite 13 years experience you have no idea of helping the forum. Your OP is of zero value without details of recent history. Then continue to argue. You are not posting assistance in any way shape or form.
  14. 13 years on what type of visas and how long in Thailand ongoing. Your thread is of no value without details
  15. With that attitude thinking this thread should be closed. We are here for sharing information that assists others. Past history is the KEY to issues with immigration. Especially when using visa exempt via air.
  16. It is a rant and thinking the forum would be more appreciative of details of your history in Thailand. Especially amount of time spent out of Thailand. You mentioned Vietnam. You would not have been deported you perhaps could be denied entry. Very different.
  17. Yes limit visa exempt via land 2 per calendar year. Also never use PoiPet
  18. Your plan is fine and will work. Also yes to obtaining reentry permit to exit and return when you have 90 stamp from non O https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/
  19. I await another report to confirm this. All the recent threads regards opening a bank account in Pattaya and surrounding areas required a certificate of residence or letter from embassy. So basically you are saying ...walk into bank you mention show pp with tourist visa stamp along with rental agreement (how long) and walk out with a Thai bank book.
  20. Pretty sure that have for alternative to certificate of residence from immigration office. Also CW requires TM47 to issue COR and the OP cannot provide that with a tourist visa.
