I sold a BYD Seal in December, it was inspected by DLT. I made the buyer bring cash. I had the cash before we went off together to the DLT. I would have let him transfer to his name before receiving the cash but I would have held onto the keys and docs until paid. You can always unwind. I wouldn’t trust any Cheque.

The point I was making is that the safest course of action is to let the DLT do the inspection and only pay for the car when the blue book is in your name. Even this is risky with a grey-market imported car privately or otherwise.

You missed checking the engine number. Are you sufficiently experienced to tell if the VIN has been altered or transplanted? Do you know all the places on the car the VIN is present? It's far safer to let the DLT do it. I know I can't do it safely and I was a motor trader for a few years in my 20's.

The DLT do the important checks with the VIN matching the paperwork. I would never pay for a vehicle with the owner signing Powers of Attorney etc, I would only pay after the DLT inspection, and the blue book was transferred into my name.

He did not throw a rock at them. They framed him by placing a rock next to the body, as reported by multiple bystanders. There is no point attempting to justify the IDF. No justification is possible. The issue is Israel has encouraged its citizens to hate the Palestinians and see them as something less than human. Accordingly, the IDF soldiers feel no remorse in their subhuman actions and feel they are perfectly justified. The little humanity they have left, knows they are doing wrong and this is why they try to cover up what they do, e.g. placing rocks next to murdered Palestinians, burying ambulances and lying about the circumstances. It's very clear to almost all non-Jews/Israeli's that Israel is committing war crimes. Whether it is genocide has yet to be determined. I believe it probably is genocide. I think Israel's strategy is to terrorise the Palestinians by killing them at random, especially women v& children, destroy the bulk of their habitation and children and then offer them relocation to some other country. If that is the strategy, then it meets the test of genocide. All it takes now is that offer to be made and QED it is genocide.

However, on the subject of climate change, there is no evidence to the contrary. The important thing is global average temperature change. Some places and countries will be cooler, and some will be warmer. What's important is the average. The UK will be a lot cooler when the Atlantic Conveyor stops working, but that doesn't mean there is no global warming. It's important to look at the big picture and not cherry pick datapoints that suit your narrative.

Facebook marketplace is full of scammers but if you proceed cautiously, it's easy to avoid them. I sold a car on facebook at Christmas. He did things correctly. He brought cash, and only paid when the car was inspected at the DLT who check VIN numbers of car, motor etc. Many people hide the registration plate, I don't know why, it lowers credibility and can be a red flag. The biggest red flag is usually the deal is too good to be true, or they ask for a deposit to hold it before you go and view.
