Electric Vehicles in Thailand

Oily really does do his bit for the Dino juice industry. I find it strangely pleasing that he pays over the top for his proclivity. -
I’ve installed somewhere approaching 200 AC units. The last time I installed LG was 18 years ago in half a dozen condos in Pattaya. They were varying sizes and all ok except the 24,000 BTU models which were noisy. For the last 5 years I have installed nothing but TCL inverter units. We buy them on Lazada and pay 3,000 baht to have them fitted. Just under 15k for an 18,000 BTU unit fully installed. IMHO they equal or exceed any other brand in quality (I have Daikin and Mitsubishi too). They are cold instantly, but you have to remember with an inverter unit, if you are running the fan on slow speed, you will not get full Cooling, they do that to avoid freezing the inside evaporating unit. Set the fan at auto or slow it down after you’ve reached the temperature you want. Frankly, I think you were ripped off with your LG unit.

The ABB Terra is a fantastic wallbox. It will take a daughter board to facilitate intelligent solar charging (good luck finding it or someone to fit/configure it), it has an RS232 or RS485 interface (I forget which) and with some experimentation and a Raspberry Pi you could do it yourself. It is capable of changing the charging speed on the fly during charging. I do charge with solar. I have 22Kw of panels and 18Kw of single phase grid-tied inverters currently set to not export (following a telling off by PEA). I have the solar output graphed so I know when I can charge and it will be free. -

My BYD Seal came with an ABB Terra wallbox, it can be wired up single phase or three phase from maximum of 7 kW single phase to 22 kW three phase. Consider very carefully before you buy an 11 kW three phase charger because if the car won’t charge using three phases (which is most cars) then it will only charge at 3.6 kW single phase, you will not be able to get the 7 kW speed. -

Could it be because the entire auto industry is in recession? Just a blind guess maybe. -
OK the gospels, they are even easier to disprove. The documented procedure for crucifying someone was that the body MUST stay on the cross until it falls off through rotting. Removing the body before this was illegal and punishable. The Bible says Jesus’s body was removed and put in a tomb (also illegal), only Patricians could be entombed. In all the Roman’s records there are ZERO instances of these 2 illegal events happening. You should stop parroting nonsense and research the Q source. It’s the available 8,000 or so documents from which the bible was assembled, most of which contradicts the New Testaments gospels.

Sealion 1 Seal 0 Sounds like sour grapes Oily You’re a bit tart with your acidic comments. Run out of juice? Can’t we squeeze some more comment out of you or have we reached the pips, maybe you can comment something more pithy. -

Please post ICE comparison figures. What you've posted could lead the reader to mistakenly believe that customers are turning away from EV to ICE, which is actually the opposite of what is happening. -

Let's just qualify that Vinny. The entire auto industry is down. ICE is down the most EV is down less EV % market share is increasing and bettering this auto recession. On another issue, can Chinese EV's made in Thailand be sold in America? and what tariff applies? -
Would this be from the same book that says the earth is roughly 5,000 years old? Stop teaching religion to young impressionable minds and it will die out in 1 generation. Most religions fail because in their "holy" documents they try to explain something that science/medicine of the time cannot explain and modern knowledge proves it wrong. The Quran gets it wrong on where sperm comes from, clearly it's not the word of god, it's closer to Stephen King.

I have a set of BYD Seal Premium/AWD wheels available, no tyres.

If it’s the same as the Seal, then the wireless charging pods are not ventilated, I don’t recommend using them for more than 5 minutes as your phone will get hot and heat destroys the battery. Neither Oily nor Vinny are stupid people, they both know the entire auto industry is in recession and they also know that the market share of EV‘s continues to increase and the market share of ICE’s continues to decrease. A most inconvenient fact… -
There’s an invisible man in the sky who watches everything we do. He says we can sell our daughters into slavery as sanctioned in Leviticus 21:7 He says if we work on the Sabbath, we should be put to death Exodus 35:2 He says we will be unclean if we touch the skin of a dead pig Leviticus 11:7 He says dwarves must not go to church, nor anyone with a flat nose Leviticus 21:18 He says if we plant different crop seeds next to each other, we have to be stoned to death and we must be burned to death if we wear clothes made from 2 different threads. There is an another list of 10 things we must not do, and if we do, he will burn and torture us until the end of time. But all this is OK because he loves us.

she is not a Thai girl. She is an experienced sex worker whose aim is to get a string of guys from other countries to send her money every month. Read “Private Dancer” by Stephen Leather and wise up pronto. -

I don’t have the right kind of stick for golf, and I hate massages, free or otherwise. Living in Chiang Rai the chauffeur service is not available, I see a doctor every 6 months for a full checkup and blood work up, a skin doctor every 2 months, a plastic surgeon every 6 months and a urologist every year so I don’t think anything other than my basic 20 year package which takes up to 83 yo is appropriate for me. I fully expect to be brown bread by then. At 67 years old, lifestyle and preventative medicine is the most important thing, once a year is not enough. -

I have the 20 year option, the peace of mind is priceless. I don’t do 90 day reports because I holiday every 1 or 2 months and pay for my holidays from overseas income, it never hits Thailand so regarding taxing it they can **** Off. -

The issue is it's not really a Toyota. It does nothing to keep Toyota profitable, if they sold all of these and none of their legacy cars they would have to shut all their factories. Things will start happening for Toyota when we see them convert their existing factories to EV. It is however a step in the right direction. -
Not my BYD, but my daughter's 2023 22,000km, MG4 X is supposed to have an NEDC range of 420km. NEDC does stand for Not Even Damn Close. When you charge it at home it reads 403km which is probably correct as the battery has lost 7% of its capacity. However, as soon as you start the car it drops to 346km and taking it on a long run, that looks to be fairly accurate.
