  1. I have aftermarket wheels and I think they are 1 inch wider than the standard wheels (8 inches) but they have the standard tires on, I will be upgrading the tires two sizes wider when they need replacing. Standard tires on wider wheels gets rid of the tract issue from standing starts on dry, clean roads.
  2. By HEV do you mean Hybrid ICE or Hydrogen vehicle?
  3. I am loving it, because I’m on holiday in Vietnam now, soon I will be on holiday in Hong Kong and again at Christmas I’m on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam again. Paying for everything in Thai Baht.
  4. You might be interested to know that one of the major manufacturers of green hydrogen agrees with McKinsey, Hydrogen has no place in passenger cars and will be used for long haul trucking.
  5. Me too. @Bandersnatch too @KhunLA too I’m detecting a theme here amongst us EV owners you feel sorry for.
  6. Please feel sorry for me, I’m an EV owner. Please feel very sorry for me because I have now bought 1 PHEV and 3 BEV’s. Please feel sorry for me because my depreciation at resale was excellent. Please feel sorry for me because I hate driving around in total silence with 530 hp under my right foot which is delivered instantaneously to all 4 wheels with a slight RWD bias allowing me to pull tricks and drift. Please feel sorry for me because I only got an 8 year parts and Labour warranty. Please feel sorry for me because I only got eight years free servicing. Please feel sorry for me because it costs me nothing to refuel. Please feel sorry for me because I can hardly contain the joy every time I get in the driving seat and floor the accelerator. Please feel sorry for me because I keep making the same mistake and being delighted with it. I really need your pity, I am clearly so unhappy.
  7. Correct me if I am wrong. All I am hearing from EV owners here is that they are very happy with their purchases. The only people that seem to have strong opinions against EV’s is those members who are ignorant of the ownership experience. The OP admitted he lied in his titling of this thread, so what exactly is the motivation? Could it be jealousy?
  8. What complete and utter nonsense.
  9. Actually, your pictures hadn’t loaded when I replied, I was referring to other Internet memes. Also, I suspect those photos are staged.
  10. Except what you see on the Internet shows the charging cable plugged into the car, it doesn’t matter whether the generator is running or not, you cannot engage drive with a cable in the socket. That’s why they are all staged and fake.
  11. Being green or doing something good for the planet had absolutely nothing to do with my decision to buy an EV, it was entirely selfish, I just wanted a better quality drive experience.
  12. Thailand is executing a plan to go greener, IMHO they could do better. Thailand’s EV subsidies, EV targets and going green generally are all part of a master plan.
  13. probably because if I’m using my phone, I dictate my posts. That is why I have to manually correct them so often 555
  14. Governments all over the world are going green, some faster than others. In the UK the last coal fired power station will close this week.
  15. That has to be one of the funniest comments I’ve seen today.
  16. There are meme’s like this all over the internet. They are all fake. No EV will let you engage drive with a charging cable attached to the car.
  17. Only one of us has an EV and knows his subject matter.
  18. When excess niacin is broken down into 4PY, this breakdown product activates inflammatory pathways that are known to promote plaque formation in arteries. This may increase the risk of major cardiac events. it can also cause liver problems and is not recommended for anyone diabetic or pre-diabetic. I have it in powder form from China and I stopped taking it.
  19. No, I didn’t admit Chinese cars were total crap, I don’t believe that and I’ve never believed it, although I suspect 10 years ago, they may have been, but I have no knowledge of that.
  20. We purchased at 771,000 THB. The plus model is 10,000 THB more than the standard model and comes with roof rails and HEPA PM 2.5 air filter.
  21. I tend to change my cars every 1 or 2 years. I know the car market very well, that’s why myself and one of my daughters drive EV’s. Decisions gained from knowledge trump opinions gained from ignorance or prejudice. If you knew what you were talking about, it would help. The number of BYD’s on One2Car changes every day, it’s a very buoyant market with high demand. I’m trying to buy a 2nd hand Good Cat for my youngest daughter, but they are too expensive, new are a better buy.
  22. it was absolutely true on both my cars, there were no price reductions after I bought them up until when I sold them
