Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
JBChiangRai replied to Celsius's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I have sold 2 EV’s already, one lost 10% depreciation in 2 years, the other 20%. They depreciate no different to ICE, perhaps slightly better. -

I don’t believe you do feel sorry, and why would you? EV owners in Thailand are delighted with their purchase.- 314 replies

I think the wheels are nicer on this than they are on the seal

Sorry but as I said before, only some landlords can only charge one month deposit. Specifically, those with 5 or more rental units. Those with less than 5 units can charge 2 months deposit as the new law doesn’t apply to them. I am advised by my lawyer, however you can get free here… https://www.sunbeltasia.com/new-rental-laws-in-thailand

Looking for 6/7 seaters car in thailand
JBChiangRai replied to Xisnow's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
The Toyota Avanza is probably the most reliable and sensible option, even if it is incredibly boring -
Landlord can charge the full amount of the damages, even if they are 100 times monthly rental income. I think you are referring to the advanced deposit, some landlords can only charge one month deposit, others can charge two months deposit. The deposit is never to be used as the last month’s rent, that is breaking the terms of the lease.

I just watched the enclosed video and it sums up my position exactly. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/Jg9WVRQMMFH9NLa7/?mibextid=CTbP7E

Looking for 6/7 seaters car in thailand

Getting parts for Chevrolet is difficult. My friend was quoted three months for the parts needed to fix the climate control on his trailblazer. I definitely wouldn’t consider Chevrolet. -
Electric Vehicles in Thailand

Oops, statistics! Cue Vinny41 -
Sadly, you are right, most do. The good landlords put the deposit into a separate bank account, that they forget about until the tenant is ready to move out.

Yes, I think you are right. You need a Variac for it not to do that.

From 5% to 15% market share in Thailand during last 7 months. Now 94% market share in Norway USA Q2 up massively on Q1 UK now considerably over the target of 22% market share. I think you have it the wrong way round.

Ask any BYD owner. Especially Thai as they are incredibly reputation oriented. or you could read this https://en.byd.com/news/byd-ranked-chinas-most-admired-automotive-brand-by-fortune-magazine/#:~:text=BYD came in ranked overall, year's ranking of 15th. Or perhaps you could tell me why you think otherwise? What is the data set that has brought you to that conclusion?

I had one of those, fantastic car. Expensive on clutches and tyres though, both wear quickly.

I think it’s worth mentioning that as a tenant, your total liability for damage is not limited by the amount of your deposit. You could easily be on the hook for a lot more.

Thai tax riddle: Elite Visa holders off the hook?
JBChiangRai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I accept that, there are a lot of humanitarian applications, especially when people retire from jobs here or marry. -
But everything to do with the post I quoted and was replying to.
