  1. I agree. If we get nuclear right in the future, there is no waste.
  2. I think I saw that one in Central festival in Chiang Mai yesterday, They have an EV stand and on there with Deco and several bikes from that manufacturer. Alongside ORA good cat, MG, Kia etc
  3. I wouldn’t disagree with you, I had Accenture as a client of my company, I wasn’t impressed. But I do agree with McKinsey on Hydrogen, and apparently Shell do too. It’s just too expensive and inefficient for motor cars and an inferior solution to BEV, it’s been tried and customers voted BEV. I can’t see any possible change in technology to change that.
  4. Better minds than any of us have analyzed how hydrogen fits into the future, specifically, McKinsey and Company and their analysis says it will be used in long haul freight in the transportation sector and not in domestic cars
  5. I can’t be sure which model it is, but when you look at it from the front it does have whiskers. To be actually clear, it was parked outside in the test drive area.
  6. I am in Chiang Mai for a long weekend. I charged up at the Bangchak station with two Rêver chargers, I had to wait 35 minutes to get a free charger, but at least my journey from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai was free and I watched Netflix in the car whilst I was waiting
  7. There is one in my local BYD Chiang Rai showroom.
  8. No, I am suggesting that neither you nor I post statistics.
  9. The UK has a superb electrified train network between all major cities. Branch lines were diesel-electric when I last noticed about 20 years ago. The best way to generate Hydrogen is electrolysis with renewables. If the wind doesn’t blow or the sun doesn’t shine, then it doesn’t matter there’s always tomorrow In generating hydrogen this way you have to acknowledge that the process is inefficient so it’s only really suitable for those means of transport where battery electric is not feasible. You can’t put batteries in trains, for example.
  10. I have a better suggestion, neither Vinny nor I should post any statistics, agreed @vinny41 ?
  11. The long-term solution for trains is to electrify them with overhead rails. I do think hydrogen has a place for long haul freight transport, but it’s not really suitable for cars.
  12. Your facts are almost always nonsense and designed to mislead.
  13. Nonsense statistics aimed to mislead people into thinking that EV’s market share isn’t growing all over the world.
  14. Wrong. There is a legal requirement to stop with a ฿4000 fine if you don’t.
  15. you asked for the source, though I don’t understand why you deleted your post. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/general/40024294
  16. credit to KhunLA
  17. I have a problem, telling the Serbian women, apart from the men, I think it’s the beards that makes it difficult.
  18. What a surprise! It’s not like we didn’t predict this two years ago.
  19. I wouldn’t expect anything less than a misleading post from you, so nice that you didn’t disappoint me. EV sales are increasing worldwide this year, it’s ICE sales that are losing market share.
  20. I always fit stored hot water boilers to reduce the load on the grid. The ones I like (Alpha) are no longer available, switchable 800, 1600 or 2400 watt
  21. All vehicles have to stop if someone is on the crossing, the fine is 4,000 baht. Part of the problem is pedestrians, they stand on the crossing meekly for minutes waiting for traffic to stop and it never does. Pedestrians need to be much more assertive but careful. I regularly cross 2 zebra crossings when going to hospital appointments. Many is the time I stride past people standing meekly waiting for traffic to stop and in the process forcing drivers to brake sharply. I’m always ready to jump if they don’t stop. Learned behaviour is the problem here.
  22. I haven’t checked how well the TCL units seal the logic board from gecko ingress, but we haven’t had any kind of fault on any of them. I particularly like that after a power cut or brief interruption, they just work. Mitsubishi are the same but with Fujitsu, Carrier and Daikin I get phone calls asking how to reset them. TCL do an internet connected unit too, we haven’t tried any of them.
