    My girlfriend works for a PTT owned fuel company (filling cars/motorcycles) in Nong Khai. During the floods the boss asked her to work double shifts to cover for people unable to work, which she did. I/she was shocked to learn that the boss only paid her 300 baht for what was 16 hour shifts. I really feel like complaining but I know in Thailand the owner is a very rich/powerful man and I am afraid that it could effect my visa if I did

    Actually Nong Khai is a little strange (anyone who knows Knong Khai will know) the road closest to the river floods less than the next road up

    Actually not every year, I can remember probably about 8 years ago there was hardly any rain in NE Issaan and they very nearly had to issue stand pipes in my city

    When you say starts in Loei do you mean the province of Loei or the city of Loei because it definitely does not start in the city of Loei, it starts somewhere in the region of Phu Luang which is a number of kilometres south of Loei City

    Actually she is half right (you can check if you do not believe me) but Loei River is the only river in Thailand that runs north

    I mentioned the tax issue to my girlfriend the other day. Her response was I don't think foreigners will stand for that, she also asked if we will get free healthcare and I said no, she can't believe it

    Question. I have a QROPS which basically has gone TITS up and I am not drawing a pension from. I have a ISA, can I move money each into this and thus avoid paying Tax because ISA'S are Tax free
