    I have a bit of a problem. I have just moved provinces (old province 200 Kms away). Krungsi will not update my change of address, refuse point blank, SCB no problem, already done. Do I close down my Krungsi and put in my SCB account? If immigration ask me to show after 3 months it will no longer be there but in SCB. When could I do this?

    North or South? I personally think the north is more friendly

    Many years ago, my wife and I visited Bangkok, she was talking to a Thai lady for a few minutes, after she had gone I asked what they were talking about, her reply was I couldn't understand what she was saying. The reason being it had been many years since she had visited Bangkok, staying NE Issaan was a different dialect

    After living permanently 12 years, nothing surprises me

    Different regions speak different dialect, ie Thai, Issaan, Laos and quite likely the deeper South

    I fill a UK self assessment in every year. HRMC sends me a detailed statement for each Tax Year. If it comes down to it, I will just produce that to the Thai tax department, if they want to dispute this that is up to them because it will be them who are calling HMRC liars not me

    Does that mean if you have a house (in my case the UK) in the said state, you are not liable for tax? Although I live in Thailand UK is my Domain

    My lenses were replaced one week apart and the doctor said that was even quick, normally one month

    Age is the biggest negative regarding finding employment, that goes for Thailand also, only Thailand's starts earlier (35 years approx)

    I can only speak about England but it is probably true in other countries also, in that it is the vast majority of cases are from the inner cities, certainly not from my home town

    I went to Vietnam 8 years ago and had to fill in a new house notification form. Talking to a man yesterday, his visa application was rejected because he had not filled a new one in when he moved province
