  1. The Dover queue, I keep having to remind you, includes all the freight crossing the channel at Dover that has faced delays and increased costs since day one of Brexit. ongoing delays and costs to the already struggling British economy.
  2. You asked for examples, I gave you examples. Your response reveals your ‘bad faith’ arguments.
  3. Tell that to the British employees of P&O Ferries that were fired while their EU member colleagues were protected by EU law.
  4. No it hasn’t been done, it’s still damaging the UK economy,
  5. The right to live and work in any of the EU nations (the UK’s largest trading partner). The right to health services across the EU. The protection of EU laws on matters of workers rights. The rights to direct appeal to the EU on matters of environmental protection. To name but a few.
  6. Rees Mogg has apparently spotted a ‘Brexit Opportunity’ in the UK being able to produce sparkling wines in plastic bottles, though I doubt he’d ever drink any of it himself.
  7. Cast your mind back to the pre-Brexit discussions on the options the UK had wrt the kind of Brexit. On the one hand the hard Brexit some were calling for, tge impacts of which were widely discussed. On the other the ‘Norway Deal’ of exiting the EU but remaining in the customs Union. The UK government chose the former and in rejecting the latter ensure the maximum disruption to the UK economy. All of this is self inflicted harm and there is very little evidence that people voted for that harm. However, the ERG got most of what it wanted.
  8. The concept of cultural genocide is legally accepted in international law: https://cadmus.eui.eu/handle/1814/43864
  9. Whatever you claim Brexit was about, it’s impacts are far wider. Brits losing rights and privileges is a common theme.
  10. But if the UK took back control, how come is it the French can cause such problems. If the UK is in control are in control, the UK can sort this out all by itself.
  11. I see you are feeling particularly snide this morning. Millions of people in the UK unable to afford regular meals is not something to laugh about. It is however something you feel to be humorous and worthy of your cross thread trolling. Tell us again how you love your country but find it laughable that people who live there rely on food banks to get the food they need.
  12. You’ll find it further up the thread. Go look for yourself.
  13. Loiner is arguing a point on the basis of ‘probably’ and ‘a rough guess’. Do try to keep up.
  14. What figures, you haven’t presented any figures.
  15. Or you could come up with numbers to back up your point of view rather than ‘probably’ and a ‘rough guess’.
  16. I refer you to the brand new post Brexit lorry parks.
  17. Yep, just back to the baseline of delays and costs to freight (the stuff that hits the UK economy).
  18. Or they can go elsewhere in Europe without any restrictions at all.
  19. Why on earth would I celebrate businesses struggling and people suffering, I never once supported the root cause of these problems?
  20. It’s causing problems for recruiting the highly skilled workers the UK economy desperately needs, not least of all medical professionals for the foundering NHS. But your alright Jack.
  21. Meanwhile the British economy is paying the price for the far more costly delays to freight. …. ’should’, ‘hope’.
  22. Who on earth would take a ham sandwich with them to France. I will have gone off before they clear the queues at Dover.
  23. Then stop whinging and lap it up. Lovely Jubly.
