  1. It’s not ‘deeply disturbing’.
  2. For months we’ve had the rightwing Biden haters telling us he reads everything off a teleprompter. That of course is an exaggeration on their part, but be assured he does not write his own speeches without input from advisors. He was was clearly given badly researched briefing notes. Don’t get me wrong, it plays right into the hands of the rightwing fabricated outrage, but it’s not something I’ll spit my Covfefe over.
  3. Can we have less of the distractions and get back to the topic of discussion. “Liz Truss’s premiership has got off to the worst start possible” and how no matter how bad a start she got, she wasted no time making it worse.
  4. Somebody obviously messed up his briefing notes.
  5. I’ve never met anyone who is happy with their own life who spends any time at all dreaming up and describing punishments for those further down life’s ladder into misery than they are.
  6. The UK is one of the better options, also look at The Netherlands and Germany, both have universities offering superb English language programs for overseas students. Specific to the UK there are some things to consider. Choice of University. Resist the impulse to choose on reputation alone, essentially the ‘Russell Group’ and look at the course to be studied and the faculty of the university. Don’t overlook Scottish universities which have some of the best programs in the UK for overseas students. Think about where the Campus is located, in or out of town and the cost/availability of accommodation in the area. I would ignore the exchange rate, which will almost certainly have changed in the three/four years most courses run for. Given that Courses have already started you’ve missed this year, so it’s now four/five years to graduation. *There is of course the question of whether the young person is ready to study overseas, if they are and can cope with the displacement then there are hugely positive opportunities to learn and broaden their mind and world view. As I explained some time ago, getting our children into school then higher education in the UK and Europe was an easy decision and one that we have absolutely no regrets over. …… *Ask your child what they want to study, where they want to study then help them choose what’s right for them. It’s not a decision you should make for them., they have to deal with it and produce the results.
  7. Sorry you are having problems. Nationwide are obliged to provide help to customers suffering hearing loss and do make an effort to help. When texting Nationwide did you explain your hearing problems? If not I suggest you send a written message that starts off by explaining you need help due to hearing difficulties, then and only then discuss what you need help with. https://www.nationwide.co.uk/help/accessibility/ Getting a restriction on your cards removed should not be difficult but keep in mind each staff member deals with hundreds of customers per day. Start with ‘I am a nationwide customer, I have difficulty with my hearing, can you please help me resolve this credit card problem’. Good luck, and again sorry you are having problems. https://www.nationwide.co.uk/help/accessibility/
  8. You say that every time I hand it back to you on a platter.
  9. I think the public were swayed by the experience of not being able to visit their loved ones dying in hospital, not being able to attend the funerals of those they had lost. And then being presented with the fact Johnson was residing over a No10 in which the staff that report to him were boozing it up, and the fact, he was joining them. Well done to the press for reporting the facts of Johnson’s hypocrisy and double standards. Boo to you for blaming the press for revealing the facts.
  10. A real possibility had Truss gone through with her dangerous ideas of placing the BoE back under political control.
  11. So let me get this right. People can’t make their minds up by themselves, they need the minority of the media that can reasonably described as ‘Left wing’ to indoctrinate them?
  12. All Florida needs now is some immigrants to do the hard and dirty work of clean up.
  13. Oh no, you are back on your immigrant thing again.
  14. If all that is true, was it also true 12 years ago? And if it were true 12 years ago why hasn’t the party in Government done something about it? Oh, I forgot, they tried their simplistic answered to complex problems and they didn’t fix anything.
  15. Not much good if you happen to live at the other end of the country.
  16. Oh, look over there. Nobody in the U struggling to feed themselves and their family and/or facing difficulty paying their mortgage gives a fig about the German economy.
  17. Go big on the mortgage, you’ll be fine.
  18. If you do nothing now you will receive a tax bill after you complete your self assessment. This will come with a payment plan (I think two part payments or an option to add it to your PAYE for the coming year). Alternatively you can contact HMRC and ask for an interim assessment so you start paying now. I personally would do the latter so as to not have big bills next year.
  19. Your words: ”Why would they, when they can sit at home claiming benefits and housing allowance for them and their 6 kids, browsing their iPhone for which tattoo to get next?”
  20. Recall Parliament and have the PM explain her mess is the first.
  21. Why ask if you already think you know. The Opposition have put forward solutions which seem to be very well accepted by voters, hence their climb to a 33% lead in opinion polls over the Tories.
  22. Perhaps because they don’t live the life you have imagined for them. Take away the life you have imagined for them and you don’t have an argument. Surely that is obvious to you?
  23. Give it up with the ‘people like you’ nonsense. Deal with the arguments.
  24. Pay them better and they will come.
  25. I think it has a lot more to do with him sending Ministers of State to lie on his behalf. The press reporting the truth is a good thing, especially when the PM is a liar.
