Hide the 2 baht in the price of the coffee/tea but offer a 2 baht discount to those who bring their own cup. Everyone loves a discount.

Would be incredible but i don't even think 16 years is adequate time to get the infrastructure in place in any of the countries mentioned.

England will not get knocked out until Qatar. Football is going home, you heard it here first.

Probably classed as an act of God so even if anyone has insurance it'll not be covered. Let's pray for rain. Honestly though, who actually believed they were gonna not go live in them? Remember when they said they weren't gonna build the super highway over X amount of natural waterways, there were protests and marches and everything, then they went ahead and did it anyway?

The yout should ignore this advice, what do these guys know anyway? Plus, if you lose all your money when you're young, at least you have none for governments to take away from you to buy watches or tanks when you get older. My advice, stick all you own on England.

well done Thailand, they couldn't have done it without you.

Legalise it. Everyone is at it. I subscribe to BeIn sports and you see Chinese gambling sites advertising in Thai at the Premier League grounds. I think even at the King Power stadium I've seen it, which is weird as the owners should be being good Buddishts.

Lovely white sugar water. As a lot of the world moves forward and starts to realise that cow's milk isn't all it's cracked up to be, Thailand forces a couple boxes a day on to its children. But hey, some people are making some big money so 'uck it.

Good news for the big boys then.wipe out the competition and Airbnb and stick the rentals up.
Most who visit this town won't have the funds to stay at the big boys. Expect tourist numbers to fall.

Thai football fans are a fickle bunch. Germany are their favourite team as they won it last time around much like their favourite team in the EPL is currently Man City. But hey, who can blame them? I've met many a Brummie who swear to god they've always supported Man U and even their dad and grandad before them were Man U fans too.

45 billion plastic bags a year!? That is an insane number of anything. Even if that number is halved it's still a shed load of bags. They need to aim for a higher percentage of reduction for it to be effective.

They obviously did not see you breaking the law also or I bet you would get a ticket for using a phone while behind the wheel........Sorry,,,,,,just being facetious.......
It's kind of ok to be on your phone when you're the passenger. If I was behind the wheel maybe a fine would have come my way.

Not going to happen. Sitting at the traffic lights waiting for them to turn green as I type, there's four coppers at the junction directing traffic and pretty much every traffic rule that you can think of has been broken in front of their eyes. Anyone pulled over? Not a chance.

Yes, too many tests and the kids can't fail, so what's the point? It's just a waste of time for all involved.

Luckily, the Thai economy is strong so all Thais will get a nice pay rise so they can deal with the price hikes. There will be no need for anyone having to pick between food or keeping the lights on. Trickle down effect and all that.

And why has Thai visa done a U turn on this article?
May as well mention that for foreigners the plane tickets back home can cost up to as much as 50 000 bht return depending on where you are from plus expenses. Not to mention the foreign special price hikes and the FACT THAT MOST OF US WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO GO BACK HOME ONE DAY BECAUSE THIS PITTANCE OF A SALARY IS NOT ENOUGH TO SUPPORT A FAMILY AND SAVE FOR RETIREMENT!!!
I hate this rhetoric that foreigners earn more. Instead why don't they take a look at all the Thai Chinese business owners who make our rich folks back home look like street beggars. Or the rich Thai land owners who make a fortune on speculating on their land.
I am sad that teachers world wide aren't paid enough, but very pissed off at Thai visa for trying to get pity for them on the backs of foreigners.
Great point! No need to mention farang wages in the article, especially the wages earned in private/international schools. Maybe they could've used the article to call out the authorities who pay such measly wages and ask why they undervalue their teachers so much. This is not a farang issue.

I hope he has a look at the army run self defence classes in CM. You know the ones were attendees are given an Ed visa and don't really have to attend any classes. People have to show up to certain lessons only so the army can take photos to appease immigration. I doubt anything will happen though as the army sits a little higher in the food chain.

I've seen a few monks window shopping DVDs at Pantip Plaza. Perhaps they could volunteer.
Great shout. Get the boys in orange out there with a whistle and a cosh, that'll put an end to these crimes against culture.

I thought all these backpacker types read the Lonely Planet type books before and during their hols. It states in all those books about SE Asia and feet and their positioning in Asian Buddhist culture.
Yep. When they get here maybe they forget about what they read and commit a cultural crime, hot pants and crop top in a temple or patting the head of the train passenger in front of them with their feet, yet nobody says anything to them. I'm sure these people assume that what they read in LP is complete BS. Thais just need to grow a pair and say something if they're really are so offended. When I committed a cultural crime in Malaysia I was told instantly, I apologised and didn't do it again. Lesson learnt.

Thais lash back after rights bodies call execution shameful

Only the most backwards of countries have the death penalty. Just look at the top five countries that carry out the most executions and they mostly prove my point.
