I've caught the overpayment at a few small shops nearby and have them recount my change. Once at a 7-11 I recounted change outside and was 100 thb short, my daughter was so, so mad that I wouldn't go back inside and say something. But, I've been on the other end before where I'm running the window and have a customer come back and say they gave a 20 dollar bill and not a 10. You can't do that and expect cooperation.

I usually always try to count with the cashier the change she's giving back. But, it has happened I didn't and just took the change and later found out I'm 100 bht short. Do you suck it up to experience or do you go back to confront? Me, I feel like any confrontation over change has to happen the moment she gives you change. Not after you walk out the door, count the money and discover you got the wrong change. so, if I don't catch the mistake immediately I chalk it up to experience.
