Ah, the American presumption of superiority, which you assume entitles you to be patronizing. Welcome to my ignore list, S*F*B. -
K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?

I'm Australian, not married. I have never been asked by any Thai official for a copy of my Australian tax returns. -
Sounds like EveryG is spot on.

I'm from an era where spanking kids for misbehavior was routine. I'm talking about a 60 -70 year old wanting to be spanked, perhaps the distinction eludes you.

Absolute blithering bullsh!t by the OP. Because Trump CLAIMS Sheinbaum agreed, it's true? He claims he never was spanked by Stormy Daniels too. The gullibility of the OP is astounding.

Don't think I can agree with papa al. Pure gasoline has no capacity to cope with any condensation of water in the tank, which will occur with cycling between night and day. The bigger the temperature differential between the two, the more potential for condensation. Fuels with ethanol in them are more capable of forming a ternary single phase of fuel. Ethanol is no more unstable than hydrocarbons. I used to store on old sedan as a hunting vehicle for 6- 9 months on a farm in outback New South Wales. Temperature extremes between frosts and 50 C. First thing I did when starting up was add a pint of methylated spirits ( ethanol ) to the gas tank. A squirt of ether in the air intake, started every time and ran smooth as silk for the rest of my stay.

I mainly talk to my GF in Thai, she uses a mix of Thai and English. If we get hung up on a word, she has a phone translator, I have Google Translate on my laptop.

It's going to get that tied up with double taxation agreements the bureaucrats will say the hell with it. Particularly when it is pension incomes being transferred. I could make any pen-pusher's life miserable by transferring post-2024 income up to the tax-free limit, then from pre-2024 savings, all documented. However, I don't see any need to do so until Immigration starts wanting to see tax returns. -
Help, i fancy my local pharmacist (F) !
Lacessit replied to Aurelien's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Ask her out, name an expensive Thai restaurant. It will either be yes or no. Agree date and time. If she turns up, you're on a winner. If she doesn't, you were told what she thought you wanted to hear. Don't embarrass both yourself and her by going back to the pharmacy if your effort to connect is unsuccessful. A sure winner in conversation is to inquire after her family. -
Trump Plans new Tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China

It seems to be a dogma with you, foreigners can't possibly know anything about America, and you are the repository of knowledge pertaining thereto. Having traveled to America many times, I know a lot about America and Americans. OTOH, you could put the knowledge of most Americans about Australia on the head of a pin. -

IMO the people who will get screwed over worst of all by Big Don will be the "basement dwellers" ( that's his name for them ) who voted for him. Plus minority groups who were stupid enough to believe him. Sociopaths have no conscience about deceiving everyone, friend or foe. BOHICA. -
I guess you haven't caught up with Mexico and Canada's threats of retaliation. https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/news/world/us-news/trump-news/2024/11/27/mexico-trade-tariff-response How do you know tariffs will work? IIRC Trump's tariffs on China resulted in American farmers losing massive amounts of market share to other countries, and I don't recall the Mexicans paying one cent towards Trump's wall.

This is what happens when hype triumphs over reason. The money has to come from somewhere to pay for the tax cuts Trump is promising. In Australia, any conservative government that tries to mess with welfare gets a bloody nose from the voters at the next election. In America, the turkeys voted for Christmas. It's coming.

I do know Trump owns 17 golf courses, and all except one are losing money hand over fist. He tries to charge excessive fees for the Trump brand, smart golfers are not buying. Plenty of better quality competition. -
Pink ID Card has your Tax ID number
Lacessit replied to CharlieH's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I put my Thai pink card number on the FATCA form sent by Kasikorn Bank. Staff at the bank did not question it. If it's not the same as a TIN, not my problem. -
First step for the OP should be making a will. Then a joint savings account, no cards, he retains possession of the bank book. Alternatively, buy Thai gold bullion. Store in a Thai bank, access his signature only. Probate of his will about 6 months, then she can claim the gold. I actually like the second option better, gold always appreciates in the long term.
