IIRC his wife did not turn up once during his hush money trial. Take a look at his first wife's grave site sometime.

Repeating yourself again. Where are you posting from, Mar-a-Lago or the Kremlin? I don't have 91 criminal indictments against me. I've never been in a courtroom, let alone convicted of anything. . I don't have over $500 million in civil awards to pay. I'm so unlucky, right? Who doesn't see how bad it is? Trump is only running to stay out of jail. Fact.
-
It's even sadder to see posts by someone as dumb as a can of soup.
-
IIRC no one is considered a felon until they are convicted by a jury of their peers. Where did you get your law degree, out of a cereal box? BTW, the correct spelling is "too". DS.
-
LOL, Trump avoided military service by claiming bone spurs. Doesn't seem to stop him playing a lot of golf. You support a convicted felon. Fact. Says a lot about your own moral standards.
-
You're repeating yourself. Try harder to come up with something new.

With you, anything left of Genghis Khan is Democrat.

The Trump bias of Fox has passed into legend, as has the $767 million Murdoch agreed to fork out to Dominion to avoid going to trial.

Classic Trumper, the only argument they've got is ad hominem. Are you a her, him. or it/they? AI perhaps? They did a crappy job with you, if so.

I wouldn't say Joe is amazing. He's just better than a convicted felon who surrounds himself with toadies and bootlickers as Presidential advisers.
-
Oh please. At least have the originality to come up with a different insult. Boring.

The usual response of a MAGA supporter, who has abandoned all pretense of rationality. Did you finish high school?

Item 1. Trump falling asleep during his NY trial. Item 2. Trump complaining about malfunctioning teleprompters. Item 3. Confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi. Item 4. The mess Trump left in Afghanistan for Biden to fix. Item 5. Trump's wall that never got built, his Medicare system that never came into being. Doing his job? Give me a break, Trump mostly played golf, and charged the US taxpayer about $800,000 every time he did.

Viruses don't care whether one is healthy or unhealthy. True, the unhealthy are statistically more likely to die. There were plenty of healthy people who died during COVID.
-
Was it not Trump who was complaining about malfunctioning teleprompters? Given the utter tripe Trump comes out with, it's hard to believe he employs speechwriters.
-
What puzzles me is the Biden haters. Anyone who actually took the time to listen to his State of the Union address would know he was articulate, with clear facts and messages. Except perhaps the dyed in the wool MAGA supporters. It hurts my ears to listen to Trump. The slurs, non-sequiturs and downright nonsense that spews forth during his speeches and posts on Truth Social - perhaps the ultimate oxymoron - is an offence against rationality. IMO Biden wiped the floor with Trump in 2020. It wouldn't surprise me if Trump squibbed it, just like he did taking the witness stand in NY.

Who would have thought it? A conservative political party creating a nationalized power grid, against expert advice and costings. Can't you see the banks and investment institutions falling over themselves to provide funding? As a brain fart, it's up there with some of the posts on this thread. -
Why do my windows look like THIS, during the Humid Season in Thailand?

IIRC that was covered by double glazing. -
Some people are in the situation where they have a lump sum of cash when they stop working. They then diversify the cash into term deposits, shares, property trusts, even precious metals such as gold and silver as a currency hedge. Cash at call does not produce much income to live on. You're right, the TRD calls the tune as far as what constitutes savings. However, the musical composition still seems to be a work in progress.

Agree. My father taught me to avoid debt like the plague. The last time I owed money ( house mortgage ) was in 1974. I have never had a credit card, only debit cards. When I hear about people who live from paycheck to paycheck, vulnerable to any uptick in interest rates on their debt, I think my father taught me well. My son is debt-free too. Too many people seek instant gratification.

I run my aircon at 28 C. It removes the moisture just as well as 22 C. The physics of sweating say humans are quite comfortable at 40 C, provided the humidity is 10 - 20% RH. Anyone who has been in Australia's Great Sandy Desert knows this. The cooling effect is maximized, as sweat evaporates as soon as it forms on one's skin. Of course, the OP could also limit condensation by not breathing so heavily, when he is posting about perfect women. -
On the Q&A links you posted, there is no clear answer to the question. Tax can be levied on any dividends or capital gains. I can't see how it can be levied on a share bought prior to January 2024, which was purchased using cash which also existed prior to 2024. I'm also confused by the term "commingled funds". The online brokerage I deal with has dividend notices and buy / sell notes, it's child's play to separate dividends and capital gains from the capital originally invested. Please explain to me the difference between putting cash into a term deposit to earn interest, and buying shares to obtain dividend income. They are both investments.
