Interesting you should use the term heresy, it is normally applied by religious adherents. When you use the terms silly and ignorant, it is an ad hominem attack. Quite commonly employed by people who can't debate issues honestly. You are wrong about people not wanting ICE's, When EV's can only replace about 20% of existing ICE's, they will want them because there is no alternative. What facts do you have indicating my 20% figure is incorrect?

Any depreciating asset is a bad investment, that's Investing 101. How many km did you have on the Swift? IMO CVT transmissions make for faster depreciation. I don't know whether EV's are good or bad investments. They haven't been around long enough to make that determination. My 2006 Vios has depreciated by about 15,000 baht/year since I bought it about 8 years ago. Has not missed a beat, and I still see a lot of those on Thai roads.

IIRC it is the anesthesia which makes the procedures so expensive. It is possible to have an endoscopy without anesthesia. My GF had one that way, IMO it was very uncomfortable for her. There is no reason a colonoscopy cannot be done in isolation. IMO the hospital is trying to make as much profit as possible. Unless there are symptoms or a convincing family history, endoscopies and colonoscopies are usually recommended every five years. I would suggest PM'g Sheryl for more qualified advice.

You don't get it at all, and I am not going to enlighten a troll any further.

The OP is sick and alone, perhaps you could use an empathy transplant yourself. I've tried to offer useful advice, which is more than I can say for you. I tend to agree with him, some posters take a nasty pill first thing in the morning.

Paxlovid is commonly used for COVID in the first few days, reducing serious illness by about 88%. I am currently taking Aciclovir as a prophylactic against infection, as I am on a regime of other meds which suppress my immune system. Sorry, I don't have time to waste educating you further.

It's not often I see advice on ASEAN that might kill another poster.

What's your good health worth to you?

Call a taxi. Or an ambulance.

I guess that's why there have been millions wasted on developing anti-viral medications.

I asked you how much it would cost to fix an Attrage with a blown motor, compared with a Neta with a blown battery. You obviously did not want to go there. You then proceed to tout the virtues of an MG EV which costs 1.1 million baht. It's a bit of a shift in the goalposts from a budget Neta. You keep banging on, I'll do the same. Get used to it.

Mysterious mass death at Chiang Mai Night Safari shocks Thailand

Maybe it's just me, but all animals in captivity look sad to me. -
Hypothetical situation - the Attrage puts a piston through its' crankshaft. What does it cost to replace the engine, or get a reconditioned one? The Neta battery decides to die, what does it cost to replace? It's not so hypothetical a Nissan Leaf owner was quoted $40 K in Australia to replace a 6-7 yo battery that died out of warranty, on a vehicle that was $50 K new. I am not arguing about which is better, the Neta specs clearly are. I am talking risks, which prudent people assess before a major purchase.

Get yourself to the nearest clinic or hospital to get diagnosed. Waiting around to get better may have serious consequences. Until you know what is wrong with you, taking anything turns you into a lab rat. If it's a virus, antibiotics won't help. Taking paracetamol will mask the fever, and make a doctor's diagnosis more difficult. Move.

I sometimes think we are getting too clever by half. Back in the day, I could do all my own vehicle maintenance. Oil changes, timing, wheel bearings, brake linings, universal couplings - all I needed were common tools, parts, and a workshop manual. Nowadays, every brand has special tools and computers with proprietary software. It is virtually impossible for an owner to do their own maintenance. Is there even going to be an independent mechanic capable of servicing an EV, or will owners of a brand be hostage to whatever the service department decides it will charge?

When I get in my car and switch on the ignition, the fuel gauge tells me how much there is in the tank. What time did you start on the booze this morning?

Some folks are doing the math, and concluding the extra cost of an EV does not warrant the risk. The cheapest EV in Thailand is the Neta, at 549K baht. The Mitsubishi Attrage is 529 K, so they are comparable. Other EV's are considerably more expensive What is not known is the after-sales service and resale price of a Neta 5 years down the track. OTOH, Mitsubishi make good if somewhat under-rated vehicles. The brand is a known quantity.

I am not outraged by the fact someone drives any vehicle better than mine, which is probably most cars on the road. I do get annoyed with people who refuse to acknowledge basic facts about the relative merits of the different techs. Each have their strengths and weaknesses, but when I mention a weakness, it's like I have farted in church.

There are multiple warnings on Thai roads about wearing helmets, not burning off, not using mobile phones when driving. I'd say the majority of people ignore them. I'd agree most EV drivers should be more sensible, but you can never be sure. They seem to get a bit silly when confronted with unpalatable facts.

What do you do when your system informs you there is only 20 km of charge left in your battery, and you have 40 km to go? Call a tow-truck? I can see a market for mobile generators, such as the diesel one which accompanied a Polestar across the Nullabor plain. Personally, I have never run out of fuel. I'm a fussbudget that fills up when I get to one-quarter full.

Please keep up to date, Tesla's have all kinds of quality problems. The Cybertruck is a stainless steel disaster.

I am not an EV hater. They have considerable advantages in some aspects of operation, such as running cost, acceleration, and reduction of air pollution in cities. I have repeatedly said so. Because I also post information on some of the EV downsides, I am an infidel to EV worshippers. Spout some numbers of your own to disprove my claim only 20% ( at best ) of ICE's can be replaced by EV's, with current lithium reserves being mined. Please don't go with extracting lithium from seawater, that is thermodynamic bullsh!t. We would have done it decades ago with gold if it was technically/economically feasible.

Why is it all EV drivers need a humor transplant? Answer: Like most religions, the EV cult hates being mocked. Check out your electric Jesus, Elon Musk. Same sense of humor as a scorpion.
