Investors are switching from US Treasury bonds to Japanese and South Korean bonds. A trickle at present, a rout if the trend continues. America is heading into recession, if not depression. Sensible Americans are right to feel gloomy.

Socialism works very well in Scandinavian countries. In Australia, we have had leftist/socialist governments since Federation. They are the ones bringing in the major reforms. Two years ago. Detectors usually are picking up volatile organic compounds - hydrocarbons, aromatics, ketones, esters etc. They don't isolate individual compounds, just generic classes. Thai herbs would almost certainly have some VOC's. Personally, I'd rather have too much security at an airport than too little.

Please list the countries who have signed a trade deal with America. You seem to forget or omit the fact bond markets are tanking as well, and gold is at record highs. Even during the Great Depression, Treasury bonds were stable. What's happening with them now is unprecedented.

IMO the Chinese economy is a hybrid. True, there are elements of command and control. However, China having 823 billionaires - second only to the USA, plus more middle class than the entire US population - is an indicator of an appreciable amount of capitalism in the mix.

I was pleasantly surprised when I had a short stay in a government hospital a few months ago. State of the art equipment, doctors spoke excellent English. IMO I was cared for better than i would have been in a public hospital in Australia. Having said that, I am sure the average Thai does not understand risk, although they do protect their capital by buying gold. Thailand is protected from typhoons by the land masses of Vietnam and Cambodia. While Thailand does get the rain bands associated with typhoons, it is very rare for the country to experience serious wind speeds.

China has 48,000 km of high speed rail, with more under construction. 70,000 km planned by 2030. High speed trains can have between 500 and 1600 passengers. It doesn't need as many aircraft as America does.
