Noah Carl is a sociologist who was dismissed from his post at Cambridge for promoting racist pseudoscience. I'll bet his sample of Republicans was carefully selected from a population that did not include the poorest MAGA's. He has been castigated for "selective use of data and unsound statistical methods" Yes, I can google stuff which exposes your lies. Once again, an example of your dumbf***ery.

Trump Joins the Axis. NATO Dead. WW111 Imminent?
Lacessit replied to Old Croc's topic in Political Soapbox
Another mistake by Hitler. If he kept the Luftwaffe going after British airfields, instead of switching to bombing cities in retaliation for a token raid on Berlin, history would have been quite different. " Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few". -
The eternal battle: how much does it cost to live in Thailand.
Lacessit replied to NorthernRyland's topic in General Topics
There are people in my GF's village living on 2000 - 3000 baht/month. Foodstuffs are bartered. The Thai age pension is 600 baht/month at age 60. Make it to 90, 1000 baht/month. It's the reason Thai families are so loyal to each other. -

Normandy saved the Russians from getting wiped out by the Germans. Hitler and his generals used enormous amounts of manpower and material to build defenses against the Allies. Hitler made the mistake of fighting a war on two fronts. Take the defense of the French coast out of the equation, different story entirely. -
Doesn't it take a special kind of marketer to be that stupid?

Kash Patel confirmed and takes the helm as FBI director
Lacessit replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Expect the FBI to become totally ineffective in protecting Americans from organized criminals, as the same people are now in charge. Trump has not forgotten or forgiven the FBI for having the temerity to raid Mar-a-Largo. -
Shopping today at 7/11. Buying yoghurt. A placard on the shelf implores me to buy a 4-pack, to save money. 60 baht. Right next to the 4-pack, there are single tubs of yoghurt, regular price 15 baht. But wait, there's more. The single tubs of yoghurt are on special, 27 baht for two. SMH.

Tips for first time tourists, especially western teenage girls
Lacessit replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in General Topics
You may be right, it depends on location. IME traffic lights in CM and CR are usually respected by drivers. They may cross after a pedestrian has walked through. Bangkok? I can't wait to get out of there. -
When I waste my time reading findings posted by the anti-vax crew, I invariably find: (a) They are unqualified to comment on the material. (b) It is published in a pseudo-scientific journal I have never heard of. (c) None of it is peer-reviewed by an independent panel. (d) The data is cherry-picked to suit purpose. I feel I have wasted my time again in explaining this to you.

Tips for first time tourists, especially western teenage girls
Lacessit replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in General Topics
Have any drinks straight out of a can or bottle. Mixed drinks can be lethal, as Laos backpackers found out recently. SIM cards are available at most airports. Taxi services from airports have fixed prices at their airport offices. Transport between Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang is free, aircon bus. Just show ongoing ticket to other destinations. Only take transport that has three or four wheels. Do not rent a scooter. Always ask the price of any taxi, baht bus or tuk-tuk before getting in. Do not eat street food that is not cooked in front of you. Pedestrian crossings should only be trusted when they have traffic lights. Forget the high heels, Thai pavements can be quite uneven. Comfortable sneakers. Do not flash large amounts of cash. Dress conservatively when visiting temples. -
Options for medical treatment for cancer (In thailand)
Lacessit replied to villageidiotY2K's topic in Health and Medicine
It depends on the type of cancer the OP has. Surgery is most successful with solid tumors which have not metastasized. Immunotherapy has an very good survival record against cancers which do respond to it, but it does not work for everyone or every cancer. As another poster has noted, immunotherapy is expensive. A course of targeted inhibitor medication, which cost me $100 in Australia, would have cost $70,000 in America. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy have the most side effects. -
It does not impress me, no. However, it is an indicator of Thai pride in their country. Silly me, I thought that was the topic of the thread.

IIRC a Stanford study showed MAGAS were 3-4 points lower than the average IQ in America. How about you publish the study that says Democrats are 2-5 points lower, or is that just one of your BS claims?

Another thread by people who never got past high school, their knowledge is so superior to the virologists, immunologists and epidemiologists who have years of training and experience. There's even a fruitcake who denies the existence of viruses. In my case, the only side-effect of mRNA vaccines I am aware of is no tolerance of anti-vaxxer idiots.

Like the US, they have sent their redundant and obsolete military equipment to Ukraine. You have a link that proves they sent everything to Ukraine? Germany has 340 Leopard tanks. It has sent 14 to Ukraine. In other words, your post is BS. -
Zelensky Pushes Back Against Trump’s “Disinformation” on Ukraine War
Lacessit replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Wrong. I didn't have to search for it, just as I don't have to search for words like ecdysiast or hermeneutics. It comes from reading way outside your comic book range. I don't have to search for the word imbecile either. -

Try showing the advances Russia has made from an independent source, rather than spouting Russian propaganda. If Russia has so many troops, why does it need North Koreans? -

The words I use come from a good education and extensive reading, I don't need Google for any of them. Vidkun Quisling was a Norwegian who collaborated with Nazi Germany. His name became a byword for treason. He was executed by firing squad in 1945. Perhaps if you spent more time reading history, and less time posting ad hominem...... -

It's a stalemate. The Russians are making slow headway in ground gained, at the cost of a ruined economy. 86 Russian men to 100 Russian women means the Russian demographic is collapsing. Russia will win if Trump stabs Ukraine in the back.
