  1. I have been threatened with a permanent ban previously, for using robust language in argument. I have never been one to suffer fools gladly. IIRC, I have had about half a dozen posting holidays. IMO if there is evidence of threats, or persistent stalking by another poster, that should be grounds for a suspension or ban. I also lose patience with posters who put the same arguments or data on a thread multiple times, as if that gives them greater validity. Say your piece, most of us can comprehend what's posted the first time. When a thread descends into bickering, I am out of there.
  2. Nothing to do with mine building. Everything to do with the Chinese economy. https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/lithium
  3. Lithium is abundant - in the ground. There are not enough mines to meet demand for the next decade. Each mine takes about 7 years on average to prove up ore reserves, then build the infrastructure. I am reasonably sure it was you who made the post re extracting lithium from seawater. If not you, another EV supporter.
  4. Make it 1000 baht for every poster that claims their wife/GF supports them.
  5. Most of the young women I see in the shopping malls of Chiang Rai are slim. The fatties are congregated at Maccas, KFC and Pizza Hut. Soi 6 must be a different clique to Walking Street, most of the women outside the bars and go-gos were easy on the eye when I was there a week ago..
  6. IIRC you are the poster who claimed there was an ample supply of lithium for EV's, because the oceans were full of it. I pointed out one would have to process 55,000 tonnes of seawater at 100% efficiency to recover 1 kg of lithium, when the average EV battery needs 60 kg. I can't recall you admitting you were wrong.
  7. Show me where I have used abuse and vile language in the post.
  8. My standard response to Trump supporters is to ask whether they have donated to his campaign fund yet. You know, the funds he uses to pay the lawyers to defend himself from 91 indictments.
  9. Sheryl and Crossy, easily. UbonJoe was a living treasure, RIP. I don't know what happened to DSD
  10. Software engineers are between a rock and a hard place. They have managers and bean counters pushing them hard to produce improved systems - fast. They then have the end users wondering why on earth they unleashed the new version on them without stress testing it first. I sometimes wonder what happened to the aphorism " If it ain't broke, don't fix it ". It's not as if software needs a grease and oil change.
  11. It's equally annoying to be called a troll and stupid when one tries to introduce facts and data to solar and EV threads because supporters cannot countenance any negative information about their pet subject. It's also dishonest ad hominem argument, attacking the poster instead of addressing the facts and data posted.
  12. Interesting we have a thread on moderation, when I thought discussion of the topic was against forum rules.
  13. News flash - the Chinese Government probably has the specifications for your firebox in its computers already. https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/finance/consumer/2023/11/09/mg-gwm-car-data?
  14. Actually, this guy would be classed as a bogan too. He won the 2022 British Open, and could buy and sell you and me both with the money he is making on the LIV golf circuit.
  15. I remember one Thai massage woman who was quite adamant - no kissing. OTOH, she was so horny she would climax on digital stimulation alone, then wrap herself around me like an octopus when it was my turn. My GF is an infrequent kisser, certainly not shy when it comes to other forms of foreplay.
  16. At a 7/11 today, I saw two Thai women in their twenties with breasts way out of proportion to the rest of their slim bodies. They just do not realize where those boobs are going to be in their fifties.
  17. Perhaps you think your jokes are funny, even when they are not. We all are guilty of that from time to time. Here's a topic for you: what is the average reflex time of a Thai in any vehicle. My reflexes are pretty slow at 0.42 seconds. If I am first off at traffic lights, when I look back in the rear vision mirror, most have not even left the lights when I am 100 yards away. I am not a leadfoot. Come to think of it, are there any Thai F1 racing drivers?
  18. Are you bipolar? Seems to be a fair-sized fluctuation between humility and arrogance in your posts.
  19. He'd have to be a masochist if he does.
  20. Oh, there you are. Some people were worried about your absence. I wasn't.
  21. Be of good cheer, the fire stats are on your side. Just don't park too close to any 2006 Vios's at Big C, OK?
  22. Oddly enough, I feel more at risk when I am driving back in Melbourne. Different traffic tempo.
  23. I came to Thailand as a technical consultant about 30 years ago. I was astounded by how cheap everything was, compared to Australia. I can still remember the president of the company I was working for taking a dozen people, including me, to a seafood restaurant in Rayong. Including beer for everyone, AUD 70. When I retired, I researched moving to the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. I had worked in 3 out of 4 of those countries. Thailand came out on top after 6 months of mulling options. IMO it still does, 12 years later.
  24. And here's me thinking you'd be busy building a fortification to park your EV.
  25. I remember a Thai woman who, over the dinner table, said she liked eating bulls^!t. Turned out she liked blue cheese. My GF stated she wanted to go to Wat Ching. Where the hell is this Wat, I asked. Eventually I understood she wanted to go home to do the washing. She does now understand the difference between an election and an erection.
