  1. There are times when I find data posted to defy common sense and basic physics. My Vios weighs 1035 kg. The MG EP+ weighs 1574 kg. With equivalent tires, there is no way the MG can outperform a Vios for tire wear. That's bullsh!t. The only explanation is the MG tires are considerably different to my Michelins, in terms of construction and presumably cost.
  2. Sorry, my ATM is closed.
  3. I don't take Vitamin C in the dosages Pauling recommended. 500 - 1000 mg is sufficient IMO. Let me know when you get nominated for a Nobel Prize, let alone win one.
  4. I rarely if ever get colds. I sometimes do get a headache, from reading posts on ASEAN.
  5. I have Michelins on my Vios. I won't consider any other brand. My last changeover was after a set had done 70,000 km. Even then, nowhere near the TWI, probably had another 5-10K of wear in them. I only changed them because my mechanic said they had tread cracking. Fess up, EV owners. What's the best mileage you've got out of your tires?
  6. I can remember a girl on Loi Kroh Road who looked positively angelic, and boasted when she worked in Malaysia she had sex 19 times with clients in 24 hours. IMO enthusiasm trumps personality and looks. I don't think there is any male who would not be flattered when a woman enjoys the sex too, even if she is faking.
  7. I understand due to the battery weight, the tires on EV's are constructed differently, cost more, and wear out more quickly. My main concern is worshippers of the electric Jesus will eventually martyr me, outraged by my heresy. It's a common occurrence in religions. My guess is they will do this by making me complete the circuit between a Tesla and a BYD, with the high priest Elon officiating.
  8. Given the astronomical cost of food at any airport, I can only conclude GG is having a brain fart. Besides which, any golf course close to an airport is about as interesting as a dentist's chair.
  9. Not if it has an EV parked in it. I am not saying these are frequent occurrences. However, I am saying these potential high costs are not what ICE owners would experience. One can replace the engine in an ICE for a cost of 20K to 30K baht. Permit me to doubt the cost of replacing an EV drive train is the same.
  10. My post is based on experience. I had COVID in 2021. My quarantine and treatment in a government provincial hospital was free. I doubt the same would have applied in any private hospital. At the time, I was on CoDiovan blood pressure medication. The hospital substituted Losartan. When I asked why, I was told we only dispense the cheapest generics available. You won't know whether non-mRNA vaccines are available at a public hospital until you ask. Since my posts are obviously unwelcome, I won't try to help you again.
  11. I am wondering if any of the EV evangelists on this thread have thought about what happens when something unforeseen occurs. 1/ Battery fails to charge. Apparently the replacement cost is 60-70% of the new cost of the vehicle. 2/ A collision. Apparently the slightest damage to the battery component of an EV is cause for the vehicle to be scrapped. 3/ Flooding. During Hurricane Ian, there were reports of flooded EV's catching fire. 4/ The manufacturer goes bankrupt, or stops manufacturing EV's. Ford, VW, Toyota and GM are all pulling out of offering EV models. That leaves the Chinese, whose after-sales service and financial health are far from transparent.
  12. WARNING: Do not microwave food in any kind of plastic container. Most plastics contain plasticizers, which are endocrine disruptors. I.E. they interfere with the human hormone system. Microwaving/heat causes plasticizers to leach out of plastic, and into food.
  13. Take Vitamin C.
  14. It depends on what people enjoy. My son loves the food and strolling through the markets. He's repeated the visit several times. OTOH, my daughter-in-law had a terrible time. She reckons she caught every bug except cancer.
  15. I was told this joke by a former chairman of the Victorian EPA: "Why do public servants never look out of the window in the morning?" " Because then they would have nothing to do in the afternoon".
  16. Quite probably, any government hospital. Private hospitals are only interested in selling expensive mRNA shots. OTOH, government hospitals work with the cheapest pharmaceutical they can find.
  17. Assume everyone on the roads in Thailand is out to kill you, and you won't be far wrong. Some people I see in cars or on two wheels are working their mobile phones, which means their attention is divided.
  18. I wouldn't say I was desperate when I came to Thailand. I got all I wanted with P4P. I agree being nice is a foreign concept to many Western women. Ballbreakers. I was under the impression you got ripped off in Thailand, and are now in New Zealand.
  19. Has the hospital given you truckloads of calcium tablets? Bones will knit much slower without them.
  20. Voluntarily, yes.
  21. Well done, I just assumed the small "o" was a typo. Please note, I used a big "O". I'd hate to be caught out by an electrician.
  22. According to the report, there is no CaCO3 there. It's all calcium sulphate. They don't do an analysis for ammonia, NH3. Using Occam's Razor, the copper corrosion is most probably galvanic. What with aluminium, copper, brass and stainless all in the mix, there are multiple opportunities to create a battery.
  23. Er - gypsum is actually calcium sulphate dihydrate. Bear in mind if there is any ammonia in the bore water, that will attack copper too.
