Tommy Toon 0852646716 Used him many times for my family BKK/HH, nice guy, safe driver. 4x4 with very comfortably seats which even recline a bit in the back. 2000 baht one way and he'll be happy, it's worth it. Does longer journeys too.

Where to refill barbecue gas bottles in Hua Hin?

Isn't a full 18kg gas bottle a bit difficult on a win bike? Anyway I don't live in town. -
Where to refill barbecue gas bottles in Hua Hin?
Speedhump replied to Speedhump's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am
Thanks kindly. That's how I used to do it in the UAE, my two bottles were rented from a local supplier who just came to the house and replaced the empty one with a full one. My problems with your answer are that (1) I don't know where my local supplier is, can I go to a PPT station maybe, just for a refill? And (2) as I said I own the bottle, it came with the Grill King barbeque I bought from Hafele. Maybe I'll just give them a call and check their ideas, they may tell me which supplier supplies their bottles. Thanks again for putting me on the path. ???? -
Hi all. I searched for 'refill lpg propane' and found nothing here, which was a surprise. My owned 18kg bottle is empty and I would like to refill it. It's the usual Thai/Australian 'internal only' old-type screw connection. Can anyone tell me where to go to refill it, and what's a reasonable cost? Is it from a metered pump like refilling your car with petrol? I don't know the form here. Thanks.

O-A Visa renewal - Bank information required
Speedhump replied to TimF's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I would check direct with immigration as they love to change the rules. For my renewal (65k income method, so not exactly the same) it used to be a 12 month bank statement in which I highlighted the monthly income. Then two or three years ago they changed to wanting individual income letters for each month. Then last year they wanted both. I'm waiting to see what they demand next month.... -
Unfortunately I don't carry my computer everywhere I want to order food delivery.... Anyway, the Tap to Translate app that was recommended yesterday seems to translate live Web menu pages faultlessly. If you know how to set an app to display over other apps.
-
I don't travel with a laptop, no. I order food, hotel rooms , <deleted> from Lazada, submit medical insurance claims, etc. all on a smartphone.
-
I'm using it now and it's great! Thanks again.
-
That sounds really useful, thanks.
-
So I was correct about Google Lens and you maligned me wrongly?
-
Thanks. Yes, that's the problem. The items very often aren't translated. And the options (extras, cutlery, etc) , aren't either.
-
It's completely unintuitive. I don't see how to open the app on my phone and read an online Grab restaurant page on the same phone.
-
Take 20 photos per menu? ????
-
Of course we won't argue. But too many of the restaurants I'm interested in (not burger joints) only have Thai menus, with Thai options which can't be navigated. Also the text can't be copied and pasted into a translation app.
-
Grab is only in Thai language, useless for me. Foodpanda is fine, also Lazypanda for authentic US-style Chinese food in the proper wax cartons, looks not cheap but portions are definitely for 2-3 persons.

Thai hotel threatens customer with ฿3m lawsuit over bad review
Speedhump replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
My nan would have been a shoe-in as a Thai law-maker. She always told me: "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". -
I understand that it doesn't answer the question, but I changed from a sand filter to a cartridge filter a couple of years ago. Easy to clean, water is always clear, and there's really no need to replace the paper filter every year so long your pool doesn't get very heavy use.

Any alternative to hard dry dog food?
Speedhump replied to Kenny202's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
Pet dogs have traditionally been fed on human food waste. That includes an amount of veg. They don't just 'puke it up'. I agree a meat diet (mostly uncooked for dogs in good health) is best. Maybe you're thinking of when they deliberately eat grass to void their stomach. -
Recall the times you've been told YOU'RE FIRED, if any

UK and then 13 years in UAE. So you don't believe no-one would ever want to fire little old me? ????
