There's no doubt the Thai Traffic Police do a good job. We continually see their efforts stopping traffic, at each and every intersection along the Sukhumvit and Theprasit roads in peak hours for the dignitaries. At times driving at stupid speeds through the streets escorting the famous. I'm amazed that there are not more accidents involving these escorts. Sadly, when these intersections are blocked, I'm sat there waiting with the other peasants for 10 or so minutes each time. ????

I reckon honda click is the best Bang for bucks, you made the right choice. ???? It's just that I'm a little too tall to fit on a click, I've got to stick with the pcx or nmax -
New honda PCX 160: Where to buy ? (Pattaya)
SAFETY FIRST replied to Spellforce's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I'll check and get back. BTW, I read you paid for your Click in advance and rode away, that's very convenient. Did you have to return to the dealership a couple of weeks later to get the white number plate? Also i read that you was thinking of buying a Honda Lead for the extra under seat room, why did you get a Click? -
New honda PCX 160: Where to buy ? (Pattaya)
SAFETY FIRST replied to Spellforce's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I find that the Mityon dealers are all selling Clicks at the internet listed pricing. It's only the PCX and ADV that are over inflated with their dealer pricing You want a regular Thai bile, Click, zoomer, Scoopy, wave etc the dealers prices are selling listed -
Yep, lots of bills. They're spending a fortune advertising on the local radio station FM 103.

Yes, I mentioned that one too. Most hosts usually play good music, right now and until 9:00 PM Emperor Rosco is playing 'Coast to Coast Country'. Their repetitive commercials are a wee bit annoying, but since it is a free private station, it is understandable that they have to make money from somewhere. Rarely on air. Seems like their location (Chayapruek 2) is the worst in the country for power outages.

Priceless 200 year old violin finds way back to maestro in Bangkok
SAFETY FIRST replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
I heard on the radio station that the taxi driver received a voucher from the owner for returning the violin. From reading stories like this, I understand why most taxi drivers don't return forgotten items. A bloody voucher???? -

What if I want to return a used car?
SAFETY FIRST replied to Epidote's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
The word 'tent' is used for second hand car dealers on the side of the road. You're just throwing your money away buying a used car in Thailand if you have no mechanical knowledge. You'll find the engine light coming on is the least concern. You should have had a mechanical inspection prior to purchasing. I'd say they would have found a few more issues.
