I don't think there's any need to be nasty regarding Thailand's medical facilities. Over the 25 years I've been to many hospitals in Thailand, my children were born here and every couple of years I need to renew my offshore medical, always found the hospitals better than Australia. I've visited the government hospital many times over the years, they look OK, clean and professional. By the way, travel insurance will get you a nicer hospital, you won't have to beg or open a go fund me page.

Most exciting thing you've done in Thailand
SAFETY FIRST replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
About 20 years ago me and a couple of my Pommy mates went drinking one afternoon in Nevada gogo bar, soi Post office. We were in there drinking for several hours, when we came out it was dark. Earlier we had parked the car in Royal Garden, so we walking along the frontage and there were about 10 girls sitting in front of what now is Sizzlers. My mate pointed at this pretty young girl, he said you come with me, she jumped up and came along. We all jumped in the car, my mate drove while me and my other mate and the girl sat in the back seat. My mate drove around Bali High, pulled up at the lighthouse My mate (the driver) was in the back seat, myself and other mate waited outside the car, he had the girls clothes in his hands and we both laughed. She was still in the back seat, while she was in the back of the car we walked off and hid her clothes in a speed boat, back then the speed boats parked there. Anyway, after a while my mate drove past and pulled up with this naked girl, sat in the front seat, she did not seemed fussed, just asked if we'd seen her clothes. I felt bad so I went back to get her clothes that I'd hidden in one of the speed boats, I was so drunk I forgot which boat. After a while found her clothes, she got dressed and we dropped her off at her apartment (after paying her). Her apartment was bottom of Theppraya, what a good sport she was, sadly you don't find those type anymore. 😔 The good old days, you could drink and drive, cops would go home at midnight. 😎 😔 -

That idiot radio announcer on 103fm thought this was funny. God I hate that guy, he's always screwing up on the radio but if anyone else screws up he's quick to bitch and carry on. Look, no one is perfect but this fool is a proper whiner. His morning show (8am to noon, M, T, T&Friday) is just the biggest complaining broadcast ever. Now he's got his assistant (Megan) on the complaint bandwagon. He's so offensive, if anyone has anything negative to say about the show he belittles the guy. Another issue, the guys slurps his coffee on air (I'm sure the coffee can stand by), he doesn't silence his phone, can't pronounce David Bowie, says notel, not hotel. Mr Antagonizer. I'd like to change the channel but not many to chose from. He charges western rates for adverts but we receive poor quality broadcast, every time we have rain his broadcast is down for hours, still businesses advertise through his station. I'm sure he's one of the top 10 moaners here on AN and has a second incognito profile

I'm lucky got a big family that keeps me busy. Sad to hear some of you guys get bored here 😮 I'm never bored, if I have some free time I jump on my PCX and zip up and down Pattaya and jomtien beach, pull up at a 7-Eleven or Thai shop for a cold beer, look at the pretties then off for another lap. I've got a new girlfriend, been together for a year and a half, she's busy with work through the day, evenings maybe out for a meal and a few more beers then off to bed for some special time. 😎

Forget that other stuff, head straight for the Sukhumvit at Trat, once you get there follow it south, it narrows and follows the beach. Bloody beautiful views and beaches, continue driving to the border and cross onto Cambodia if you have time. I've done this trip a few times from Pattaya on my motorbikes, great adventure.

It's only noisy between 2am and 5am, now that the Juristic management allow daily, Airbnb renters, all the drunks from walking street arguing, fighting, girls jumping in the pool fully clothed urinating, it's like a bloody hotel from hell. I'm on the ground floor, opposite swimming pool, near to the entrance, most of these idiots walk past my condo. I'm lucky, I don't sleep there too often.

I worked for a while down in Songkla, on an offshore drilling rig. The Thai's that work offshore are hard working and fun to be around, being their supervisor I was always well respected. The boys from the region, Songkla, Nakhon Si Thammarat are tough as nails. The flight to Hat Yai is only an hour then a short journey to Songkla, sleep at the hotel before next morning chopper flight. I did prefer working in Vung Tau, 20 years ago when the hydra foil was operating from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Only an hour flight from BKK then an hour or two on the ship that had a bar on board, had the worst hangovers coming home when working Vietnam, 4 weeks without a drink. I worked same hitch as the OIM, he lived Vung Tau, his wife would always have an esky full of cold beers to take to the jetty, waiting to board the ship, then sat at the bar for the trip to HMC -

Lots of weirdos here mate. Back in the day (when their names were attached to the emoji's), I had a guy giving me a confused emoji on every comment I made and another guy giving me a sad. Over the many years I've probably only dealt out a hand full of sad and confused emoji's (in retaliation) but I reckon I've earned the most of these stupid sad and confused emoji's. -

Try to be more careful next time. Last year, I was in the gym and some guy brushed past this steroid freak, omg, the crazy steroid guy lost it, bashed him senseless. Road rage is too common, too many idiots on our roads. Always take care out there, I have a habit these days, for Thais, I give way to everyone, never sound the horn (that antagonizes drivers) unless it's a safety issue. I see lots of mean complaining foreigners on our roads these days, these foreigners should be careful, as can be shown above the Thais will use their vehicles as a weapon, some carry firearms and will shoot you dead without hesitation. -

I'm not fussed. If you asked most hated 1. Members complaining, the whinging, whiners, moaning about Thailand 2. Thai politics.
