    Yes, I understand. He's probably looking for more feedback. As I said earlier, I did not comment on his first posting, my comments have brought up the fact that minimum balance down as low as $250 with SCB. I'm sure the OP is delighted he reposted. I'm glad that he reposted, I've leanrt something new from it.

    $1,000 with Bangkok Bank. SCB is $250 Mmmm, interesting. I opened my USD account with Kasikorn around 14 years ago, I wonder if things have changed. I'm not fussed, I keep well over the minimum balance in the account anyway.

    Banks aren't as fussy as the smaller exchange booths. Banks will accept slightly soiled notes. I've got a USD account with Kasikorn, you'll need $5000 as a minimum balance.
