Now that the borders are open why wouldn't you switch to an "O" visa and not deal with the insurance?

There was a "grandmother" clause where they let you do your second year without insurance, but once you applied for an extension you needed insurance. -

I had paid for 2 full doses of Moderna at THG, but when they finally made the vaccines available, I already had two Pfizer doses. After I got it as a booster, I asked if it was full or 50%. The nurse on duty said it was a full dose, and that I would have to make an appointment at their main hospital to get the 50% dose. She also said if I got the half dose, the insurance I paid for would not be valid, as it was based on the full dose. I also had a moderate reaction (slight sick feeling and headache, which a 3-hour nap cured) that then faded to no reaction after 2 days more (sore arm).

Astra-Zenica or Johnson&Johnson would be better quality alternatives.

Thai actress’s 2nd autopsy confirms 22 small wounds on her leg

What I gathered from posts and news is that: 1. Someone set her up to meet a high-ranking person who was waiting at a hotel. When she found out, she refused, and there may have been some scuffle. 2. Calls were made from the boat to some VIP asking for advice on what to do. 3. One of the people on the boat had texted the mother about some shady information. 4. An MP from the parliament later met with each witness to coach them on how to handle the situation. 5. Each witness seems to have a different story. Not an open-and-shut case at all. I doubt she will rest in peace until there is justice. -
Best method to send debit card from US to Thailand
ClaySmc replied to gamb00ler's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
I recently found that happening a lot. I can't pay AIS through their app anymore, as it wants to be able to send a code, which my USA cards don't do. Seems they want local credit cards now. -

For my FedEx delivery, the service rep said she didn't have the 5 lines I needed, so I told her to use: Line 1. My Name, 2. Condo name, 3. Street No. and Street name, 4, District, City, Zip, Thailand (TH). Ordinarily, I would have the sub-district and district on a separate line, and then Bangkok, zip and Thailand on the last line, which did not work for them. Getting rid of the sub-district, and adding the district to the city line, presented no problem. They had set it expedited service and for the processing and delivery it took a week. -

I have a capital one credit card and called them to send it to Thailand. They sent it FedEx, with no charge. -
Thai Tax ID whats the latest in obtaining one
ClaySmc replied to stat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I received one in Bangkok in February at a revenue office around Sukhumvit Soi 21. No problem getting one. Same reason; not be taxed on my bank account. They were really helpful. The woman staff person assisted in filling out the form, and making any other copies she needed--I think Visa and extension stamp, as I had brought a copy of the photo page. There was also a copy of my lease, and I brought a letter from the bank stating I needed a tax ID for bank purposes. -

Anyone renew an O/A visa this month
ClaySmc replied to Brer's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have LMG and need to renew soon, so I sent an inquiry to my agent. She did send me renewal forms, but also warned they changed the regulations and sent a change of policy form to go with it. I sent her the info UBONJOE provided with the link and screenshot. So at least it seems that LMG is allowing the option to renew our present policies. Just in, she sent me a response: “Thank you for your email. Yes, this new regulation will be effected on September 01, 2022. You can still stay on the same plan or change to the new plan.” So, there you have it. -
I had 2 Pfizer (last one in September), and went to Thonburi Hospital Group (THG) to make an appointment for the Moderna, which I had paid for, back in October. The staff person there said the Moderna, which would be #3 booster, was recommended at 3 months for over 60 people, which would place it near the end of December. I was not sure about that, but after doing some research I found that in the UK it had changed to 3 months just the week before, so I went with her recommendation. This week, after going back to discuss what to do about the 2nd Moderna jab I purchased, they stated I could transfer it or if I got it myself, I needed to wait 6 months for booster #2, otherwise the insurance I had gotten with it would not be valid. Since the deadline for my group of vaccine purchases (July 2021) is the end of May, and that is only 5 months from jab #3, I could still get it but need to agree to not having insurance coverage. I decided to wait a month to see if any guidance comes out regarding having a 4th shot sooner; but if not may pass on it. For those who also ordered Moderna from the Thonburi Hospital Group (THG) in the summer, you have until the end of February to transfer or make an appointment; with the last day for an appointment being the end of May, or lose your money.

If you live in Bangkok or an area with a branch location you can go and have them make the change. I went to the branch near the Bobae market and they made the appointment for me. Before doing so, they asked if I wanted an appointment or to transfer. Hope that helps
