Now, now... I have been to 40 countries, including the USA 10 times, India 22 times, France, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Belorussia, Germany, the Philippines 53 times and many, MANY more! and, of course, Russia (17 times).

Awwww, you might learn something - it's a wonderful place full of beautiful architecture, full of shops with a wonderful cafe and bar society. Taking a look at a neutral video won't hurt you - don't be afraid.

I have never come across this before - I guess it depends on the area? We need to be careful of stereotyping - aren't common areas designed for sitting around eating and drinking? I have had extensive experience with Russians (in Russia) and have found them polite, warm and friendly.

Stalin was pure evil - very bad days. USA and UK sucked up to him, unfortunately.

A few reasons - they saw USA influence growing to the extent of fixing Ukraine elections, they saw Russians in Donbas being slaughtered, they felt that the 2014 agreement was pooped on, they saw NATO expanding, and they felt no one was listening. But that's just an opinion, of course. Russians are a very stubborn people - they will never give up - and that is the problem as they are ideologically motivated. They simply can't stand being bullied and manipulated.

ok ok, but my point was more serious - I think Americans are just as nationalistic as Russians - and Brits, and Thais, of course. Personally, I loathe nationalism in all it's forms.
