  1. Trump was acquitted by the Senate in both cases because the requirement for a successful impeachment was a 60% majority Senate vote. The same would happen if Biden was ever impeached. The GOP are the only doing this on behalf of Trump and to normalize Trump's abhorrent behaviour. The first impeachment was investigated for two months before impeachment was agreed by the House. The second impeachment needed little investigation as Trump's Insurrection was live on World TV and there was urgency by both parties to hobble a tyrant. The evidence was both honest and factual and in the first, the Senate trial saw no witnesses or documents, as GOP senators rejected attempts to introduce them. The second was witnessed by the World. 'The inquiry process which preceded the first impeachment of Donald Trump, was initiated on September 24, 2019....on December 18, the House voted to impeach the president'. Impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump - Wikipedia

  3. I admit my error, I am that kind of guy, I was confused by this statement: 'The SAPTO for each member of a couple means they can each earn $28,974, or $57,948 together, tax-free'. SAPTO and LITO, or do you really need an SMSF? (firstlinks.com.au) I must also admit that perhaps I have not honed my literacy skills as sharply as you have, this is evident by the above and also my struggle of comprehension of words such as 'embassing' and 'actualloy'. I suggest that your previous statement 'that is in the Act', remains only your opinion and the onus is on you to prove otherwise, and it is not for me to find it, mate!
  4. Tax-free threshold with SAPTO is $28,974, which is $460 UNDER. Perhaps you could explain 'it well enough' and point to 'the Act'?
  5. The Creator (2023) - IMDb, just dropped. Not sure if I will watch it unless I get a recommendation from here.
  6. Germany is committed to supporting Ukraine...... 'German chancellor Olaf Scholz...has agreed in principle to double the country's military aid for Ukraine next year to 8 billion euros ($8.5 billion)'. Germany set to double Ukraine military aid | Reuters

  9. I don't know about the correctness of your other statements but there is no Tourist Visa that requires 90-day reporting and is valid for 12 months, I suggest that you have a Non O Visa. 12. Britannica's definition of 'Cuisine' which is in the title of this topic is: 'Cuisine, the foods and methods of preparation traditional to a region or population'. I would suggest Indian food is not traditional to Britain. Cuisine | Definition, Types, & Facts | Britannica
  13. The link doesn't take into account that 500k or half of all expats returned to Australia just in the first 12 months of COVID when the borders were being locked, I suggest that the number of retirees may not have increased if at all and may possibly be less.
  14. I watched The Killer early this morning. It was a bit of a slow burn. Very entertaining, but I would suggest not really a 7.4/10 as rated by IMDB.
  15. My best at the moment is 3.3GB!
  16. I suggest 'ad hominem' attacks in a discussion are generally a last resort of desperation and an admission from someone that they have no evidence to support their claims. And, It is also a subliminal yield to a better argument and opponent. So, thanks for the acknowledgement! I never attended a history class, that was not an academic subject in the 'A' stream, and I studied Latin instead. Perhaps you should study the relevance of the 'Burden of Proof' and the importance of 'semper necessitas probandi incumbit ei qui agit'.
  17. Thanks for that, there be seems to be two versions around. One has some hard-coded advertising for a website which moves to different positions around the screen and is a bit distracting, the other has slight audio sync issues. I might wait for a better copy.......
  18. I watched the first episode of Bass last night and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for recommendation, I saw it had dropped earlier but didn't realise it was from the Taylor Sheridan stable. Very good post and I would suggest a model for others with all the additional information. I thought Bass's bio was particularly a nice touch, no doubt an effective panacea for the unnecessary comment that sometime detracts from the camaraderie and goodwill usually found on this site.
  19. Though facts (supported by evidence) may not be your friend. It seems deflection and denial may be.
  20. More than likely than not and being Thai she knew more about 'kreng jai' which I was not aware of in the early days.
  21. I did say 'possibly you are getting your President Roosevelts mixed up' and this was based on evidence of Theodore Roosevelt being bipolar and my failure to find any to support your claim. Theodore & the Roosevelt Bipolar Inheritance - International Bipolar Foundation (ibpf.org) Perhaps you can humour me and provide your evidence that Franklin Roosevelt was 'mentally crippled'? As you know that on this forum facts need to be supported with evidence And yes, I did say 'facts don't seem to be your friend' which was evident based on your previous posts and lack of evidence on this post.
  22. I don't recall saying that, could you please point to where I did?
  23. Please do tell, if I have made an error, and no one is perfect, I will openly admit it and apologise, I am that kind of guy.
  24. 'No one undervalues anything that they own'? Except those fraudsters like the Trump Crime family et alia, who want to pay less insurance and property taxes.
  25. Possibly, you are getting your President Roosevelts mixed up! Franklin D Roosevelt was crippled by polio as a child. Theodore Roosevelt who was not in a wheelchair, is said to have suffered from bi-polar and depression most of his life. As previously stated, facts don't seem to be your friend.
