Trying to take a different perspective, that of the doctors and nurses. What is the effect upon them of delaying/discontinuing treatment? They are, of course, tax and social security contributors themselves. However, they are in a caring profession and must get demoralised from seeing patients die who they could have saved?

My Thai nephew was between employment contracts and welcomed the opportunity. He served 12 months at the 23rd Military Circle base which houses a military court. We went on visiting days to see him as did his girlfriend. He was very pleased to be able to apply his Japanese language skills in Army radio communications. He delivered rice to villages that were about to be flooded. Afterwards he said he enjoyed his time but not enough to enlist as a regular.

Definitely a local rogue postman. Don't blame you for not trusting them.

Definitely correct! Amazing that Royal Thai Mail and the various courier services deliver 7 days per week.

Both of us guilty your honour! I haven't checked the coolant, engine oil, brake fluid or screenwash for some time. She does run it into a tyre fitting bay occasionally for the guy to pump up the tyres but I have to keep reminding her. Not long ago I was in the front passenger seat and noticed the temperature guage was full over to H. I pointed to it several times. She obviously didn't understand. I said; 'Too hot, garage NOW'. Fortunately we were passing several at the time. The problem was only a radiator hose.

Perhaps not relevant but an illustration. A cousin who is Welsh was on holiday in Germany. Whilst walking upon a pavement she was mown down by a crazy taxi driver. The amount of ironwork required to repair her skeleton was incredible. All superbly done in Germany and covered by her EHIC and, of course, travel insurance. Four years later, the last of the ironwork was removed, for free, under UK National Health Service. If advocating emergency treatment should be free, need to clarify whether that is immediate life saving only or to include several follow up operations to render the patient mobile again, as was the case here.

There was an item a little while ago about an Australian guy and his wife who lived in an exclusive gated community. They went away for the weekend. Upon return their house had been cleared out. Keys to their SUV were inside the house so the vehicle was taken too. Security guard vanished. Went to police who requested a couple of thousand dollars to commence investigations. The guy told them where to stick it and went back to Australia. I suppose the moral of the story is watch out for 'inside jobs'.
